Probably a dumb question to ask, but does anyone know how I can get MAME Plus version 0.105 to save high scores? I've already tried assigning the folders, but it didn't take. The only games it saves high scores for is for the Neo Geo games.
So I'm wondering if there's something I need to get it to save high scores. Also, if anyone knows a way to reset high scores in the Neo Geo games, feel free to explain that too.
I appreciate any help on this topic.

Just delete the files inside the hiscore folder. If not, delete the game specific inis inside the CFG or INI folder.
As to not saving the other games. I don't remember exactly how it all went down, but MAME used to support hi score and hi score tables before, but they removed support because it was not part of the games original feature.
If MAMEPlus adheres to MAME's guidelines, then the games shouldn't save the high score either (unless the original game had a battery to do so, in the case of some Neogeo games).
The hi score tables was a project where people that made hi scores were added to the tables, such tables were recognized by MAME when you played the games. The story goes that the MAME team removed that feature because the actual arcade games didn't keep the scores if you turned off the machine and when you quit a game in MAME, that counts as turning off the machine. So the scores should delete accordingly.
MAME is more about accurate emulation than adding features. That's why some games in MAME take so long to get emulated or run really slow, because they don't add hacks or speedups to the games. They might do it on occasion to be able to test the games, but such things are removed eventually.
The save states and cheats are supported because they help people find bugs without having to play the game from zero each time. In their minds, hi scores saving is not a priority.

Strange, but whatever, I get it, heheh. I'd have liked to keep track of my scores without it resetting, but no matter, I guess.
Thanks, though!
EDIT: I found out it's actually the NVRAM that needs to be deleted to reset high scores (and other things) off Neo Geo games. So it's not the other things mentioned.
