Magicbox: Official PlayStation Magazine reported that the Sony ICO team is working on a sequel game for PS3, it is uncertain whether it refers to ICO or Shadow of Colossus. This is what the PS3 needs. Hopefully some screenshots or a trailer pops up next year.

Yeah, it was pretty much a given Ueda would be doing something on PS3. SotC's only real problems were problems caused by the hardware limitations of the PS2. I can't even imagine what Ueda has brewing for the PS3..

I almost wish that SOTC would of waited till the PS3 came out but the game is still great on the PS2. I cant even imagine what the next installment is going to be about. Maybe the main character is a shadow creature?

Hmm.. I just realized that "right out of the bull pin" should be "right out of the bullpen". I wrote bullpen originally but for some reason, my version of Word doesn't recognize bullpen as a word and auto-corrected it... as bull pin. Thanks, Microsoft.

This article inspired me to plunk down $20 on ICO and steal burrow my friend's copy of SotC. Thank you, revolver, for getting me into these games.
The above statement may change depending on how well I enjoy ICO. I just opened the left gate-thing.
EDIT: Also, BAWWWW PSTriple. This leaves me with no way of playing the next game.

Wow. I've sold more copies of Ico with this article than Sony. They should pay me. But they're probably broke anyway.

I think that it would be worth mentioning that Ico's box art ( except for the US version ) seems heavily inspired by the art of the Italian painter Giorgio De Chirico, founder of the metaphisical movement. Could it be just a coincidence?

I was amazed that wasn't mentioned to begin with, but I didn't really care either, so I didn't bother to say anything about it.
No chance in hell is it a coincidence. Hell, ICO steals a great deal of its in-game visual style wholesale from his paintings.

I'm curious about the two player mode in ICO. What actions can Yorda take, how does the camera work etc? I think the feature was PAL exclusive, don't have the game anymore unfortunately.

Recently translated: a long interview from 2005 with Ueda shmuplations.com/ueda/ "It covers Ueda’s entire career up to that point: his childhood years, art school, working at WARP, and finally settling in at Sony as a full-fledge game creator. The discussion is full of Ueda’s thoughts and insights about game design, gaming, and the themes of his own two masterpiece “art” games."

I'm so glad The Last Guardian managed to slip back from oblivion.
