I'd like to see some Euro RPGs, like Ishar, Albion or Realms of Arkania (I might do some at some point in time later myself) I'd love to see some nice Euro-RPG articles as well. I'm currently playing through Gothic and after the initial learning curve w/ the controls (which unfortunately lasted a good 3-4 hours), I've been having an abso-fucking-lute blast with this game. Really looking forward to tackling the second one after this. There's one series that totally needs the HG101 treatment. a Realms of Arkania trilogy (or even Drakensang series) article would just be awesome, too. Blade of Destiny has aged a bit too poorly for me to really get into it (too easy to build a dead end character, gameplay is a bit too complex for its own good, engine is a little too primitive), so I think I'm just going to hop right into Star Trail when I do get around to tackling the series. If you need any additional material for an RoA article, let me know. I've been slowly scanning pc game magazines from that era and I've got a couple of really good articles for Shadows Over Riva (including the PC Gamer cover feature that also highlights the evolution of the game series).

I was thinking about doing RoA, but the version of Blade of Destiny I got from the web resets the XP to zero after each save, so... yeah. If no one else does this, it has to wait until next year when I get back to my original CDs.

It's available on GOG bundled with Star Trail for $6, though IIRC the version of Star Trail it includes doesn't have the cd soundtrack. I think it was because of a licensing issue or something? If it blocks you from buying it in your country, let me know and I'll gift it your way.

I would like to see a Bloody Roar article on this site. I think that game would be perfect on this site.

I'd like to see something involving Gaia Crusaders. The Sengoku article mentions it, and I played it, and liked it quite a bit, but I couldn't write a good article about it to save my life.

Not so much a request but more of a recomendation Since DA seems to be doing a lot of Adventures lately, I'd suggest giving Future Wars: Time Travelers a chance. Made by the people that did Flashback, it is a very short and straight forward game actually. Feels a lot like playing an 80s SciFi-Movie. Also gets some pretty great looking scenery done for it's age limitations - which are full screen, since it hides the menu behind the rigth-click instead of having 1/3 of the screen occupied by it all the time. It's of course a bit archaic, as in you can miss stuff kinda easily, there are very tightly timed challenges and the menu/navigation is a bit clumsy.

I know both series are extremely tall orders, especially the latter, but has anyone claimed Ultima or Wizardry yet? I'm most interested in seeing features for those series right now.

Me too, actually. But yeah, super tall orders. Wizardry has a spinning bundle of Japanese only sequels too. Ultima is a bit more reasonable but I have little experience with it myself, and what I have played I wasn't so much a fan of.

The Japanese only sequels, not to mention remakes (i. e. Llylgamyn Saga and New Age of Llylgamyn) are exactly what I'd like to learn about. The latter would help me in picking out the best versions of the originals to look out for.

Incidentally, the Gobliiins trilogy just popped up on GoG, magus.
I'd also love to see a D&D feature. And with that I think I've hit upon most of the old school cRPGs, lol.

I just entered this forum so I could sugest a game, please forgive me if it's too much to ask
But I really want to see a article about dragon force, cause I was always interested but never played myself
and didn't find much on the internet, maybe I didn't search enough
it's "only" 2 games so it would not be that long, I think
sorry about the english, not my first language

...Did I ever say anything about Seibu Kaihatsu shoot-em-ups? It would probably go better on SHMUPS! than here, but they are classics. Especially now that they're releasing Raiden Fighters Aces and Raiden IV now. And all of them are emulated with the exception of Raiden III and IV and maybe some compilations like Aces (Even Raiden DX has a PS1 port, so...).
Maybe something on Battle Garegga, Armed Police Batrider, and Battle Bakraid? They're pretty much spiritual sequels to each other. Maybe Ibara too, but that's a bit of a stretch.
Strikers 1945/1999 also seems like it should have some love, though then we get into the slippery slope of "What about this Psikyo game too, they're, like, all based on each other right?" Space Bomber, anyone?
Something tells me we've already done a couple of Toaplan shmups, but a bunch of mini-reviews of each one would make me very happy. V-Five, OutZone, Dogyuun!, etc...good times.
...Sorry, I'm in a bit of a shmuppy mood or something. I'm just throwing out ideas in case someone wants to do this stuff...
Maybe I could actually write a review. I'm thinking of starting my own site for random facts about video gaming that no one knows and are probably useless, but I first have to find a place to put it and stuff...

sorry for bumping this old thread but i was thinking that it's kinda weird that this site still lacks an article about bubble bobble and all of the followups (rainbow islands, the various puzzle bobble)
it's like the quintessential somewhat obscure but not that obscure arcade game which seems like a perfet fit for this site
