www.hardcoregaming101.net/inca/inca.htmMan this game is bizarre. You play as an Incan king who flies into outer space and wages combat with Spanish galleons. There's also some puzzle solving and dungeon crawly segments too. The second game is far, but is so, so, so cheesy. Grand stuff, though.

Well, no love for this article?
I remember playing the disk version of Inca 2 with a friend, and I see it's cheesy as I remembered. Coktel were very active in the first half of the '90s, both with multimedia and "traditional" games, and had a remarkable taste for the surreal in almost everything they did.
Since they are mentioned, I hope to see articles on Ween and Lost in Time in the future - never played the latter but I loved the former, even it was somewhat incoherent and clunky (changing the copper sphere to the various forms and back, oh my), it was also lovely cheesy and surreal. Their earlier softcore adventures would deserve a mention too, if only for Fascination's twist ending - by the way, wasn't the main character featured in Lost in Time too?

I had (and still have) a copy of Ween (here in the US it was just called The Prophecy) but I can't really remember much about it. I haven't played Lost in Time either, I've only just read about it. I wouldn't mind giving them another shot though.

Just a small correction, "the Incans" is incorrect when you're talking about the actual people; that should be "the Incas". "Incan" is only used as an adjective.
Oh and "Incan lingo" should probably be "Quechuan lingo".

Man I totally forgot about this game. Coktel Vision was a very strange company. I can't understand for the life of me understand why Sierra felt so compelled to publish their stuff in the states.
