hg101.kontek.net/badday/badday.htmThis game looks ridicu-crazy. It's basically "stumble around a cracked out amusement park" until the game ends. One of those weird things that's only sort of a game and more of a "multimedia experience", but with art like this I wish that would happen more often. We also tried a non-standard background for this one just to amp up the trippiness. There's a link to a regular black version if that seems too bizarre.

Wost thing you can do is put a repeating background. It's lame (sorry) and makes it hard to read the text.
Please never do this again.

If anything, just turn down the brightness on the background image. That'll give us the best of both worlds: the trippy background and readability of text.

I liked the background, it through me off completely and set the tone of the article admirably. Not being a fan of The Resident's I'd never actually looked into Bad Day on the Midway but sounds like I should.

what was the deal with the 90's and psychedelic visuals? you had games like this one and 9: The Last Resort and movies like The City of Lost Children, A Nightmare Before Christmas and James and The Giant Peach
it seems to have been a trend at the time, one that unfortunately has gone away, you rarely see things like that anymore
