I did miss that - thank you! GI Joe Atlantis Factor is one of my favourite games from childhood. In South Africa you could find bootleg Famicom cartridges of American-exclusive NES games (GI Joe, Alien 3, etc). The Atlantis title saw a lot of play and lending amongst my circle of friends, and it's one of the earliest games where I really noticed how good game-music can be. Man, so many childhood memories linked to that little yellow cartridge - I'm pretty sure none of us ever beat it. As for his ideas about different difficulties requiring you do different things, wow! I have praised Goldeneye for years for doing this, and wish more games did it, and now I know who to thank. Seriously, he sounds like one of the coolest people in the industry no one knows about. I take it from that thread nothing happened with those answers? Come on Rey, that stuff is pure gold, I feel uncomfortable thinking it's been languishing, hidden on a forum this entire time. You should weave it into either a blog entry or a standalone article. It really is too good to leave hidden. Is the entirety of it in that thread?

Yes, the entire thing is in the thread. I just managed to find his email (which is ridiculously easy to figure out) and asked him a few question about the endings of the games in the thread. After posting his replies, everyone wanted him to answer more questions. After he answered all of those, no one asked more stuff and that was it.
A couple of people wanted me to make an article out of it, but I'm not a good writer. Kurt said he was going to do a KID article, so I thought he was going to take care of that part.
If you want to make an article or a blog post about, be my guest. Forum posts don't get posted as news or are used as a source on wikipedia, but blogs or articles do and it would be nice if that "interview" survived as something more than a forum post.

I also have an "interview" with Giles Goddard about Weaponlord if anyone wishes to update the article.

Who's Giles Goddard? If you mean James Goddard: Yes, please!

I'm very busy today, and a new blog entry went up, but when I have a free moment I'll try to draft it into an interview with pics, and later it can be absorbed into the website proper.

Oops, yes James Goddard. Where the heck did I get Giles from?
Where should I post the email exchange? This one reads more like fanboy stuff though and it's more about the endings (or the ones that never made it in).
And on that note, I also have several email exchanges with Chris Tilston, one of the designers of Killer Instinct 2. Also about all the multiple endings that never went in the game. It's not too interesting if you don't care about Killer Instinct or endings.

I'm a huge KI fanboy, so any information I could get about it would be really great.

Drafted a blog entry, saved it to blogger with images, will make it live once the XBLIGII piece has had a bit more time at the top.

Great to see it up! Now it's officially saved for posterity and quote-able on wikinazypedia.

Wow, I didn't know about Ken Lobb's pre-N64 career at all. Very fascinating. I'll have to post a link to this as well. Thanks for doing this, Rey!

No problem. I would like to say it was a selfless act, but it was a selfish one actually. It just ended up being interesting for Sketcz to post and for others to read.
