A companion to the other, similarly named thread. List games that you hate, yet everyone else seems to love. I'll start.
Demon's Souls An exercise in frustration. The game gives you almost no direction at all. The whole system feels slow and clunky. And everyone seems to love it for some reason I cannot fathom.
Fallout 3 Perhaps not a bad game on its own (though not my cup of tea), but a bad Fallout game. And after we'd waited so many years.
Dead Rising I do not get the appeal. The game's ugly as sin, controls terribly, and forces you to rescue the same damn moronic AI survivors over and over again.

Here's ones that I could think of:
Comix Zone - I liked this game at first, but eventually I started to find the game extremely obnoxious and jumping and trying to jump can be awkward and a death trap at times. And at one point I was stuck and had no choice but to die. Yeah, if I want to play a Genesis beat `em up, I would prefer Streets of Rage over this.
Sigma Star Saga - Oh my, I have a lot to say about this one. A shooter RPG was a good idea on paper, but not so in execution. Sometimes the encounter rate is rather high, putting you a constant stream of shmup battles. This might not seem so bad at first, but soon the tedium sets in, and it gets worse by the fact you get a random ship every time AND you cannot escape these battles till you kill everything. It's like Russian Roulette, only needlessly drawn out and you're forced to sit through every second of it. There's also the fact I found Gun Data that can be anything but practical, and some of it was just useless. I cannot understand why people hail it as awesome, and how it got an E3 Editor's Choice award.
Ar Tonelico - I can only take so much of the innuendo before I take the disc out and play something better. The second game was worse about this, and had even poorer localization. Probably worse than the usual NISA localizing. All this series really is about is moe girls.
Street Fighter II Turbo - I'm not at all a fan of the turbo gimmick, as I find it jarring and uncomfortable in execution, and I don't see much of a point in speeding things up a couple notches, whatever the reasons may be.
Final Fantasy VIII - For the many reasons others have said about it too. I don't like a single thing about this game. It's just so boring. And you have to sit through this tedium for four discs. Also, I want my monsters to give me some damn money when I kill them, not take a quiz just to raise my paycheck.

Outside of the types of games I just plain don't play (FPSs, most modern "AAA" games, etc.), the biggest example I can think of for a game that's very highly regarded yet I flat-out hated and consider a big mess of bad design is Phantasy Star II.
Oh, and for something not so well-known but often regarded as one of the best GBC games, Magi Nation is a disaster. I found it so thoroughly unpleasant to play that I've abandoned it for years now, half way through the game. As much as I hate myself for it, I am possessed to finish what I start, so I do aim to get back to it someday. :/
In general, "hate" is a pretty strong word for me when it comes to games. That's usually reserved for games so abysmal that they don't tend to get much praise from anyone. I can, however, name many, many popular games that I find mediocre and boring.

Halo 3 O.D.S.T The only good thing I found about this game was firefight, and that's only if someone plays with me.
Modern Warfare 2 While I don't enjoy playing the game much, it's not nearly as bad as the people who play it online. I more or less forced myself through the story. (not that I was expecting it to be grand or anything)
God of War The story's alright, but I really don't understand how people have fun playing it. It's just so mindless and boring.

I'd honestly hope no one would love Comix Zone, it is complete shite. It's too much on rails to be a decent beat 'em up. It's too difficult without cheats. All it has going for it is its comic book style art direction. It's ruined by an overall poor game experience. Want to make a great game? Look at everything about Comix Zone... design the exact opposite of that. Then you'll have yourself some game design awards and, if you're really lucky, a decent Metascore.

That seems a bit harsh... though I will admit, it's pretty damn hard. I haven't played it since I was a kid, and I never made it past the 3rd level. Yet I kept trying over and over again and still had a lotta fun, despite my losses. Then again looking at the name of this thread, I must sound like an idiot. XD

Everything I've played of BioWare's library bar MDK2.
KotOR is a glitchy mess that deleted my save file on the XBox and is choppy as hell even on my newer PC. I realized in retrospect that the only highlight of the gameplay to me was exploiting things to get a second high-tier blaster pistol early on. I sure as hell didn't care for Carth or whoever else I brought with me nagging me every five minutes to deliver exposition.
Jade Empire was not only unpolished as hell, but it was damn ugly to boot. These are quite possibly some of the worst looking playable characters I've ever seen in an RPG, and the goofy "translated Chinese"-sounding names did not help me take things seriously. I'll admit I'm being a bit hard given how little progress I actually made, but it left one hell of a bad impression.
Similar thing with Balder's Gate, except it also kept crashing after the tutorial. The lack of feedback during combat and the ultra-slow movement speed on needlessly large maps didn't help matters, either.
Mass Effect, continues the trend for being absolutely terribly programmed and is also just plain boring given the attempts to expand its scope that ultimately lead to exploring the same three or four building layouts over and over. It must have done something right, I'll admit, since I actually played it through twice, though I'm guessing that's from paying full price for the collector's edition and buying into the whole save import hype.
Mass Effect 2 is the only one I can say I enjoyed on any level, and that's due to the Vanguard class. But anything that's not shooting is still just towns that are little more than differently lit shopping malls. And while the characters are a bit better than the first, it still suffers from some weird writing decisions like killing off and bringing back Shepard that seem to only serve to make sure your few choices in the first will have less of an impact.
And Mass Effect 3 pretty much killed WRPGs for me. Combat is much better, but now there are even more errands. And unlike 2, you can't even put them off until the endgame.

Street Fighter II Turbo - It's really just the same old Street Fighter game with a sped up frame rate and extra special moves. Hardly what I consider an "update". Hyper Fighting is a really minor upgrade, even compared to Champion Edition (the previous SF2 installment), but those additions are much more noticeable if you're playing competitively against other players rather than just fighting the CPU. The increased game speed alone changes the entire dynamic of the game, while the new special moves add new layer of strategies, especially Chun-Li's Kikoken projectile and Dhalsim's Yoga Teleport. Hell, part of the reason why New Challengers was not as popular as Hyper Fighting was because they reverted the game speed back to World Warrior/ Champion Edition-level, which is also the reason Super Turbo was made.

Knowing this just makes me like it even less. If it's a big change in strategy and dynamic then, well, fine. I can understand that. But I'm not joining in with the praise, as I find the Turbo games to be uncomfortable to play being the way they are, and I don't see how or why people put up with it. Hope you won't hold that against me, though. I'm just not a fan of the turbo gimmick.

Re: Comix Zone:
The enemies block too much in that game and you lose too much health when you hit stuff. I like the aesthetic, and the combat, while still a bit basic, does have depth. But the blocking is done way too much meaning most enemies in the last chapter or so take way too long to kill.

Oh dear god. Mega Man X4, no question.
I don't care if Zero's in here. I've got the GBA games to keep me happy. I despise the music, I despise the level design, I despise the low difficulty, and I freakin' hate the goddamn voices. The story was stupidsauce, and while the ingame graphics were okay, the artwork and cutscenes just reminded me of some damn Saturday morning cartoon. I keep playing it trying to figure out what's good about it, but can never find any redeeming factors.
Also FFX. Tidus, nuff said.

The Legend of Dragoon: In this case I feel entirely justified and that they people that do like it are suffering from long term mental issues and/or head trauma
Final Fantasy XII: For all it's innovation I found the lack of player input meant that fighting normal enemies was extremely boring. Running in circles to gain back MP was a joke and using osmose just prolonged the fights. It's not entirely terrible but it just bored me. On the plus side it required so little player input that it was the only game I could play with one hand when I broke my wrist. I wouldn't have finished it otherwise.
Goldeneye: I won't deny how groundbreaking this game was but my god has it gotten old fast to the point that it's near unplayable now. Take the rose tinted glasses off and it's not held up well at all.
Robocop vs. Terminator: There's a smell of euro platform shooter off this game and not the good Turrican kind. Always found it a really poor mans contra or gunstar heroes. I'm also talking about the Megadrive version and not the even worse SNES one.

Final Fantasy IX - I literally hate every single thing about this game, the art style and characters are revolting. The OST was pretty crappy (who thought it'd be a good idea to resurrect the Junon/Shin-ra march theme?!) and the plot...man... fun fact: I once tried to flush the third disc down the toilet but it wouldn't work! It literally is a floater of a game.
God of War - presentation aside this game could bore me into a coma. It just feels like "take Devil May Cry- remove any sense of challenge and skill- chuck on a few heapings of QTE's mid battle et viola! A hit non?" and I cannot see any change between the games asides from new set pieces or graphics.
Halo - I don't play multiplayer games...but the single player game of the initial trilogy has always bored me into a coma. I really don't see why the series is so popular- the enemies are totally lame, Master Chef is a really intensely boring protagonist and the two weapon system this popularised really, really bores me. It may be more realistic to only carry two weapons but I don't play games for realism. It's all about escapism.
Shin Megami Tensei RPG's - I really, really want to enjoy these- I do! I've bought my fair share of them and I just can't seem to get into them at all. I can't even describe why...it always feels like there is something missing. I've vowed to myself to go back to Nocturne/Lucifer's Call to see if I can get to the end and enjoy it though. I just can't seem to get my head around the whole creature chatting/merging. I don't want to look at a table to see what creature I am likely to get, keep re-doing that toil' it retains the useful skills etc. I dunno, maybe it's like Demon's Souls and I'll just have to dedicate more time to both.

Everything Platinum Games has ever made (well, maybe not Infinite Space, I don't know that game).
Everything Blizzard has made after WarCraft 2 (minus Lost Vikings 2).
Shadow of the Colossus (although that's a borderline "Games you think suck... yet YOU love them!" case for me)
I'm with megatronbison on the Halo and Final Fantasy IX hate train, though not God of War, cause I think Devil May Cry sucks much worse.
GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND! GOD HAND!
