Grasshopper Manufacture's Michigan: Report From Hell is a strange, first person horror title that's not terribly good as a game but fascinating as a whole. Suda 51 may not have been that much involved with the game, and actually saw release in Europe by 505 Games. hardcoregaming101.net/michigan/michigan.htm

Yinling is also the mother of Monster Bono, who was sired when the Great Muta's poison mist hit her in the crotch.

Thanks for the confirmation! What little info I could find implied it was one of their mainland deals, like Raw Danger. And 505 Games UK PR department didn't know what was going on back in the day (haven't bothered emailing for years). Will correct it this morning. Oh, it was also definitely in France too, since the version I own. At the time, in the UK, I could not find it anywhere, and nor was it on eBay, forcing me to import it from eBay Italy. When I sold it afetrwards, the guy who bought it off me was so grateful because he couldn't find a UK version either.

Now that I think about it it's unbelievable how 505 went from games like Michigan and several of the Simple 2000 games to more notable stuff like Sniper Elite V2 and Top Gun: Hard Lock and stuff like Michael Phelps: Push The Limit and Grease: Dance. Plus now they have a US division.
Also out of curiosity I DL'd that video from IGN. It's low budget cheese... and I loved it. Also the blatant fanservice probably helped.

I used to work at a video game store and we'd often get in like 2 copies of really obscure titles. it's how i got all my obscure ps2 titles even space channel 5 part 2, which i think was pulled from most places in the UK.

Ooh, interesting. Any obscure ones you'd recommend? I recently picked up Demolition Girl, which looks like a madder bikini-themed version of Global Defence Force. Always on the lookout for more weird stuff.

What these screenshots fail to really truly emphasis is how god awfully boring 90% of the game is. I love this game for what they tried to do but it's so slow and tedious. Also Brisco is the worst, he's like a giddy school boy with the second worst Voice Actor in the game so obviously he's the one that does all the talking, always.
I can confirm that this game also managed to find it's way into retail stores in Australia which is where I picked up my copy.

The trick is, we're a lot more lenient if the violence isn't on actual people, so fantasy gross body horror is totally fine. And you can imply all you want.

The last time I tried to play PS2 videos, I had the impression that in general, the audio and video streams were somehow stored completely separately (or "demuxed"). I ended up attempting to start the audio and video streams independently in two different applications. I think I used one of the utilities at www.zophar.net/utilities/ps2util.html .

Wow, this game looks really perverse. The graphics during the post-game stripper video are laughably bad. I've seen early PS2 games that look better than that. D:
That, and the vagina dentata makes me wonder if this game doesn't have some issues with women...
"Stay classy, Grasshopper!" Uh, yeah.
