www.hardcoregaming101.net/braindead13/braindead13.htmA funny original FMV title by the people who did most of the home ports of the Don Bluth games. As a result, it plays very similar to Dragon's Lair or Space Ace, but it has a very morbid touch. The magazine advertisement for this was pretty silly, in a very '90s kinda way:

I feel like I've seen Fritz before in something else. The short body, giant lower jaw, a tube sticking out of his head, the huge bug eyes... I also remember his skin being red and having pointy fingers instead of hooks.
I like the quick info box too. I think it's a cool new addition.

Nice article.
Btw, the lead platform was the 3do, and that version actually used a proprietary vector-based animation system (pre-Flash) to do the footage on the fly instead of "canned" FMV like the other versions.

I'll point out that re-used animation (even redrawing it) is extremely common in animation. Since it's fairly easy to trace the general intention as guidelines and save a lot of effort on worrying about timing, form and readability. Although why you'd do that when the draw of the game IS the animation is another matter.
