So at my graduation party we were trying to play Super Puzzle Fighter on my slim PS2 but it just wouldn't work. It would get to the now loading screen and would just stop. My game is in pretty good shape, save for some very very light scratches, but it's always worked until now. I only got the slim PS2 a few months ago and hadn't tried it before.
There were some other strange problems I was playing Spin Jam (another PS1 game) and the players were reversed. Controller 1 was Player 2 and Controller 2 was Player 1.
Is this a known issue with the slim PS2 or do I need a new copy of Super Puzzle Fighter?

It's a slim PS2 Problem. I was trying to play a really old ps1 game the other day And every buttons function was the same one as square, even when i switched controls at the menu

That's really weird.
As far as I know, the PS2 shouldn't have any problems with Puzzle Fighter.

EMULATE ON PSP
is what sony is telling you.
All joking aside if you have a dreamcast that can play imports you're better off importing Super Puzzle fighter II X for matching service. 2 all new modes are in.
