I wish Sunsoft would work on getting this into America's hands via the 3DS Virtual Console. XD It may not be the deepest game, but it would be a nice addition and help launch imports on the service.

Very impressive game, but yes, if it would have been released in NA and in large numbers it would have been thrashed immediately.

This wasn't the only game to feature a bunny rabbit by Sunsoft. There was this Pyokotan game released for the Famicom late in the system's life.

Sunsoft (or what's left of it) must really like Yacopu, since he also apparently appears (0:34 in the video) in this bizarre DLC for Blaster Master Zero 2, where he is seen fertilizing Kanna the plant-girl with his iridescent poop. Guess it's because several planets in the game were based on old Sunsoft games.
Edit- one of the Kannas is also literally based on Yacopu, 1:44 in this video:
