I HATED that One Piece game HATED it.
Power stone fans should just get the collection for PSP the characters from Powerstone 2 are added into 1.

I thought the Powerstone collection was 1&2 either together or seperate in the same game. Since I remember the previewing having 4 players, I haven't read much about it recently but I thought that they were planning it like that (and thinking of adding some new stuff).

I prefer soul blade, then I like DoA (I have only really delved into Hardcore), played VF 1, 2, and 3 but don't really remember them, and I hate Tekken because it feels too constrictive most of the time ~ Everyone except Eddy Gordo felt too stiff.

It is but they also added the 2 characters into 1. They may have changed their minds though but that's what I heard

VF4 Evo>Soul Calibur 2>Soul Calibur 3>Rival Schools 2>DOA>Last Bronx>PowerStone>Fighting Vipers
Tekken and Soul Edge disqualified due to nonsensical bullshit. (serriously, soul Edge is teh cheapness. Breakage may be realistic, but it's still cheapage. Certain characters are also over-adventagous).
BTW VF4 is the hardest to pick up. you can beat people with one hand when they have no idea what they're doing or neglect the move that can easily save them (everyone has a move to get them out of almost any situation). I've also never liked Tekken's dial a combo/'Rock-Paper-Eddie Gordo' gameplay. But hey. . .to each his own.
Besides. . . Everyone just plays either SSB: M, SamSho2, or Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike anyway.

I only enjoyed Smash Brothers on single player- with 4 players I found it a bit chaotic- in a bad way .

Each 3d fighting game has something to offer, while in some of them it may not be a WHOLE LOT. But it's there

First of all, the basics like hit-throw-counter shouldn't be equally effective. In DOA the counters are equally effective to hit and throw because they are so easy to use. That's bad. Not really. You see, it punishes people hard for dialing-a-combo too many times since you can do these counters while you're getting hit, as long as you're not launched in the air. This then creates an interesting situation because the attacker then needs to predict when their opponent might try to counter their next swing and instead throw them, which then punishes the defender from trying to counter by inflicting extra damage to them during the throw. Or the attacker could try striking at another level instead. In this case, the simplicity of excecuting the counters and throws is good because it reduces the amount of time needed to perform them, which gives the game its twichy feel because you have .098765512325 milliseconds to react to your opponent's decisions. With DoA4, it's REALLY hard to tell what level the attacks are unless you've played the game a lot, and DoA4 also has special throws that also count as counters if the attacker tries to strike at the level the throw was meant to intercept, so now you need to be careful about throwing out certain attacks against characters that specialize in throws or else you'll end up eating it.

A friend of mine who unlike me LOVES VF for it's depth went so far as to say DOA4 is Even Deeper than VF4 EVO for that very reason.
