Did I miss some kind of Blue Stinger renaissance? Isn't that one of the absolute worst games on the Dreamcast? God no, it's not remotely close to being one of the worst games on the Dreamcast. While I think the US version was weakened by the changes (the mood isn't nearly as well executed) and that the Japanese version was still fairly mediocre (short, easy and hammy), I think it's still a notable title that doesn't quite get the recognition that it deserves. Honestly, I think it's aged a good bit better than Sonic Adventure, though that may be because of how survival horror has evolved away from its roots. The japanese release feels almost nostalgic while the US release feels somewhat pioneering (other than, you know, being hammy as fuck). FWIW, I think their followup effort in Illbleed is similarly underrated...but at least that one has an article on here.

I'll vote for Chaotix, only because that's one of the shorter games out of the list.

I've finished Blue Stinger and play Chaotix on and off so by process of elimination I must vote for Chrono Cross.
Though I think Blue Stinger is the most interesting choice, given it's sort of weird little early DC game that's not really survival horror and it's pretty weird plot wise.

I'm going to put my chips in for Blue Stinger, as I have played Chrono Cross (albeit a long time ago) and I can't say I'm big enough of a Sonic fan to get into one of the series' most reviled games. DC emulation may be fiddly, but eh, I'll deal.
I may have the votes wrong, but I believe Blue Stinger is currently leading with 6, with Knucklex Chaotic at 5 and Chrono Cross at 3. This is one of the closer votes we've had lately, and I'm intrigued to see how the next few days play out!

I am voting for Chrono Cross, because while I do secretly despise the GC9X players (*cough*), I don't hate them nearly enough to cast for the other ones.
Also, if Chrono Cross wins, I volunteer to guest-host again and do it entirely in my fake Russian accent.

That game is a pile of shit. Casting my vote for Chrono Cross. Played it a long time ago, been meaning to play it again and give it another look.

Two more votes for Chrono Cross bringing it up to five, but Blue Stinger is still leading... I'm amazed at how close this vote is running considered the last two months were landslide victories. Good to see a diverse turnout, though!

I may have the votes wrong, but I believe Blue Stinger is currently leading with 6... I recounted and it only seems to be five votes? I'm very torn on which of the games to vote on. I'm definitely not interested in playing Chaotix again, unless you guys want a podcast full of swears. I actually own Blue Stinger, and the prospect of buying rocket launchers from vending machines and drinking a nice cold Hassy amuse me, but DC emulation is iffy. Chrono Cross seems to be universally panned, but having played neither of the Chrono games, I feel I can enjoy it enough on its own merits. However, it's a 32-bit JRPG, meaning we're in for a long ride if it wins. I'll abstain again for now, but I'm watching this thread closely.

Etrian Odyssey IV is out, and Atelier Ayesha is coming out in a few days. I'm going to spend most of this month being distracted by jRPGs, so I vote for Knuckles Chaotix because it's short and I've never played it.

Alright, I can't sit idly by when Chaotix has a chance of winning.
Putting in my vote for Blue Stinger.

Well, I just checked out both the US and Japanese versions of Blue Stinger in the r149 SVN build of NullDC and there's some really annoying graphical glitches throughout. They're still quite playable (hint: as soon as you fire up NullDC, go to the plugins and select the PuruPuru plugin for your input/Maple plugin so that you can use a PS1/2/3/360 controller!), but the experience is significantly degraded.
