Playing through Metroid Prime for the first time. Up to the thermal visor part now. Very fun game, though I had to get used to the controls a bit. Graphics don't get much better for 2002. I don't understand how they picked the Parasite Queen battle as the moment to memorialize in Smash. Literally every other area in the game has been more interesting so far. Any Dragon Quest games worth picking up on Steam? DQ11 is amazing, but if you can get it on Switch, I'd say get it on there.

Have the PS4 set up for the first time in over a year to play the FF7 demo.
Decided to give Deception IV a go. My god this series is so much sadistic fun. PS4 will be staying set up until I get through this game.

More importantly why is it not on PC yet? I can stop buying it on every console I get if they released it on steam.

It's not on Switch either which is bizarre. I'm not sure I would buy a rereleased version though since Konami is so hellbent on only using the DXC version of the dialogue which is really bland. I would 100% get a version with the original script.

It most likely the PSP one. So no 'What is a man?' line. Not gonna buy.

SotN somehow feel less special these days because it’s available everywhere. It’s Tetris.
I miss the good old days when I was instead complaining about it being too rare and too expensive!
As for this port I’ll definitely pass. Don’t wanna encourage this direction.
EDIT: What I would buy from Konami however are mobile ports of Suikoden I & II.... I mean, seriously? They would actually be PLAYABLE and make sense, unlike a 2D action platformer. But this is Konami after all, so I guess that is a way too reasonable thing to ask for.

Imagine someone's first experience with SotN being with touch-screen controls. It's baffling that Castlevania Requiem hasn't been ported to Switch and PC yet. And yet they waste time on releasing it on mobile. Not that I'd ever want to play the Requiem version of SotN.
Speaking of Castlevania. Just got the original Castlevania in the mail. Looking forward to finally playing that for real (as in, not on an emulator with a keyboard). Not so thrilled about having to pay an additional 20 bucks when I received the package, though. That hasn't happened in years, and I'm not sure why it happened now.
Also got Goldeneye 007 in the mail this week. I can tell it's going to take some time to adjust to the controls, but at least it looks like the devs where aware that playing an FPS on a controller is a bit crappy, because it seems has some things to help.

What's the extra $20 charge for? Cash-on-delivery seemed like a thing of the past. But definitely a game worth having a physical copy of. Congratulations!

What's the extra $20 charge for? Cash-on-delivery seemed like a thing of the past. But definitely a game worth having a physical copy of. Congratulations! I figured out I basically made a mistake. Normally on ebay these days people have declaration costs sorted out (though the exact amount seems to vary quite a bit), but this time, the seller didn't. I had a couple of tabs open with different copies of the game, so I must've overlooked it. It was basically tax + administration costs (which where naturally twice as high as the tax was) Thing is, my experiences don't really line up with what seem to be the official rules for these kind of things. I have never sold anything to outside the EU, so I wouldn't know how things work on the seller's end, though. Bottom line is I just need to pay attention to it next time. It hasn't happened in years that I had to pay on delivery, so I honestly didn't even think about it. But the game is in great shape and indeed is nice to add to my collection.

Picked up Contra: Rogue Corps because....I don’t know. It’s actually not as bad as I expected but I do wonder why the game is so incredibly ugly... It truly baffles me how a big company like Konami would approve graphics like this on modern consoles. Even a tiny, inexperienced indie developer would probably take time to polish this before even considering release.
But yeah, the game is kinda fun in short bursts. Contra however, it is not.

Don't be surprised if you don't enjoy GoldenEye. It's aged incredible poorly. Fps design has come a long long way since that game.
