I hope this didn't get cancelled... I don't care too much about the NESTS collection itself, though I will get it (assuming it does come out) to continue my collection. What I am worried about is if they cancel this one, that's probably the end of the Neo Geo online collection, which means no Samurai Spirits collection.

There appears to be a KOF 98 remake of somesort coming to the PS2 next year so maybe this is cancelled. I mean 2000 has already been ported. The PS2 would just be missing KOF99 then. Although it came out for PSX.
On another note,
KOF Neowave just got released in Europe for the PS2.

The PS2 would just be missing KOF99 then. Although it came out for PSX. Except the PSX version really sucked, in my opinion. It did have plenty of extra features (the usual array of art-galleries, plus an odd voice tester), but the sound quality was awful, some animations were made choppier, and then there's the load times...

Which is why I would like to see the NEST collection be released for PS2. I'm sure the ports would be much better seeing it on PS2 hardware.

Yeah it's listed as TBA on Play Asia. Wasn't the Orochi Saga delayed a lot too though?
Outside of the 99 port (I'm happy with the DC version) I don't see much a reason for this exist, and maybe SNK might come to that same conclusion. I don't think Samurai Shodown would be in danger because it's SAMURAI SHODOWN and we've never seen a real console port of the second game, the best of the series. Too bad they're including Tenka (?!?) for some reason instead of Zero Special.

Well SSV Special just came out in April for the PS2 so I can see why they wouldn't put that one on.
SS2 did get ported to the PSX via the Samurai Shodown Fencing Pack but that port...no.
The PC port is pretty good though, it's basically a direct copy of the NeoCD game, music and all.

Nests Hen is scheduled for this year. It got delayed because they decided to include '99 Evolution at some point. Don't know if DC 2000 and 2001 are different to the NG versions, but maybe they're adding those as extras too. The game will be released, anyhow.
The Samurai Spirits compilation won't appear till 2008, most likely.

Can you give me more information about this?? [edit] oh... it looks like it came out in Europe... does anyone know if the European version will play on a US PS2 with a swap magic disc?

I don't hate SNK Games, Just the Company and their excuses Like Microsoft has the same restrictions that SCEA has now (which is complete bullshit as the most popular XBLA game is SFII Turbo) Ok the DC 2000 and 2001 ports. 2000 had a puzzle mode and Kula playable off the bat as well as a ton of unlockable stages from everything from Last Blade to the first Fatal Fury to Samurai Shodown. 2001 you could unlock Igniz and Zero for VS and survival modes and there was a puzzle fighter like game that was really hard. they're pretty good

SNK/Playmore is milking as much as they can. Capcom does a lot of milking to with compilations but there compilations are really well done, especially the Capcom Classics Collections and Megaman, Megaman X collections.
