-Heavy Smash. Data East made, more or less like a Side Scrolling version of Speedball or Powerball. Looks like it was probably done by the same team that did Windjammers.
-Big Run : Jaleco Rally. It loses a lot in the emulation, but when they had this game sitting in the basement arcade of a local mall ages ago, I always wanted to play the hell out of it.

I always thought Pnickies and Soldam were interesting little puzzle games, Pnickies in particular because it's an arcade puzzle game NOT built around massive chain combos.

I love Soldam for three reasons: 1) It's a charming puzzle game which doesn't tries too hard to look impressive with complicated chain combos. 2) It has characters from Rodland, one of my favourite arcade games. 3) It was ported to Game Boy so you can play it on the go just like Rodland.

Surprised you didn't mention that the game system of Pnickies was later reworked by Capcom as Super Puzzle Fighter (which WAS built around massive chain combos, since you now only needed one crash gem instead of two to clear a group).

Wow! You're right! It's been a very long time since I last played Pnickies and I didn't played it more than few minutes for some strange reason (and I say strange because I love Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo), so I never noticed the similarities. Guess I should give it a second chance.

A few off the top of my head that are just too limited to make vids about or have problems and the reasons for them: Gator Hunt (soundtrack, accessible yet fun Cabal/Blood Bros style shooter; Rad) Demon Front (Good looks, variety, fun gameplay in the vein of Metal Slug) Gun Master (Gunstar Heroes in the arcade, commands for special moves, cool bosses)

Speaking for run'n'gun games here's a criminally overlooked one that was released by Sammy in 2003:
It's a huge crime in the humanity that it never got a console port, expecially since Sammy is not a small company, therefore there's no excuse for skipping a console release. Unfortunately I can't make it run on MAME. Any other recommended emulator fot this game?

Dolphin Blue is an Atomiswave game, so it's more or less a Dreamcast game.

DEMUL sort of does, I hear. I haven't tested it personally, though. If there's even a dump of the ROM. I'm out of date with emulation, so I'm not sure.

Dolphin Blue has gained a fair amount of publicity since it's one of the better running emulated Atomiswave games. It runs fairly well in Demul.

Thanks for the info everyone. Is Shooting Love 2007 related with Shooting Love, 200X ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_Love,_200X ) that was released for Xbox 360? Shooting Love, 200X is a great shmup.

It's basically the same game, yes.

Naomi
I now know why this didn't get a DC port, but it's still a shame.

I can't find any arcade game called Gator Hunt, what's that Cabal clone actually called?
