But publisher Jaleco, perhaps feeling that American kids would have no idea about the legend of Son Goku, attempted to make things hit closer to home by also reskinning this game, giving it a Native American theme. It's actually not too bad for a Mega Man-style action-platformer.

Whomp'Em is actually a pretty good game! I still remember buying it from Sam's Club. :3
It never occurred to me how similar it is to Wonder Boy until pretty recently, but the connections are very clear now. It's a pretty solid title in its own right.
