Thanks dycaite, Paranoia's been dwelled. I'm just the type of guy who can irrationaly get stressed by anything. It just would have been a frikkin' Travesty to see a game like garage get returned to the auction house, or heaven forbid be destroyed. Now all we've gotta do is wait a few more days. On the one hand, I hate to see any rare game destroyed. On the other hand, it would be awfully funny after all this drama. |

For one you can buy plenty of porn from the internet, but australian censors ban things like sodomy, small breasts, a whole list of stuff thats dramatic.
Ive had horror movie DVDs incinerated because they werent rated yet and said it wasnt R rated material, and then see it on the shelves 3 months later.
When it comes to the game, the game is not sexual, and has some random boobs in it, I don't think it would effect our conservative gaming censors. If it did I would laugh for a little, then try not to cry.
As with the physical mail itself, it wont be seen by any australian eyes and for some reason they have a problem (want to open and look at it based on what they pick up on in customs, to open the package and investigate it, Ill er appeal it i guess. It would be pretty lame but possible.

I still havent received the game at my proxy address.
Hope it works out, the seller lives under an hour away from the proxy address..

Alright now im paranoid, I'm going to send it to USA first then here. It will be inside a 25KG box with a whole bunch of other stuff sent on a non-commercial business route. From there I can change the declaration form, and look a whole less like a consumer. By the way, if you buy things from Germany, customs in AU really love looking for what you're buying, I wonder why that is. Oh snap. It arrived. I am waiting on a few small items to come but will probably beat it to USA. Its super fast from USA to AU, so probably in 8-10 weeks. aand its queued to go on a trip around the globe. Attachments:

it's a shame how slow the postal system can be at times, imagine if you could sneak Garage into the country on one of those Amazon.com drones, and have it right on your doorstep without all this hassle.
Regardless, donations will come with time, and I'm sure most of the dudes here can scrape together enough beer money to finish the fundraiser before too long.
In the meantime, would anyone like the niconico links to a full playthrough of Garage? you have to either set up an account with them, or login with facebook, but I think it would be interesting to see what you guys have to say about the gameplay and not it's legendary development history.

dycaite, the thing is, Garage has Full frontal Female nudity on the box. If the guys at customs are going to rip open packaging to look at it, they would see the game for what it is. And if you Really think that THIS Is evidence of subtle sexual undertones, I think you have another thing coming. In my opinion, the cover art is no worse than a tastefully done artistic nude, so yes, I would call it subtle in its sexuality. It's not like she has her legs spread; anyway, her privates are largely covered up by shadows. I honestly think you're being a tad paranoid; Australia =/= North Korea. Heck, I once got a bong through Australian customs, no questions asked. Based on my understanding of Australian law (which comes solely from posts in forums), it would only be a problem if the bong had tits. |

You mean it'd only be a problem if it had small tits  Bong laws are a bit iffy here in NSW. They're illegal to sell, but apparently not to own, though that didn't stop the customs officers from opening ours up and leaving us a polite little note indicating that they had done so. All you need is a little "for tobacco use only" sticker and you can get away with anything  |

Hey, by the way, I never really gave it much of a thought, but is GARAGE text-heavy? I was wondering if it's necessary to have an advanced knowledge of Japanese to truly enjoy the game, or if it relied more on "universal" storytelling, such as using visuals or minimalist dialogues.
