Just wanted to clarify something about the refund process, should the auction fall below the expected price.
Let's say the following people contribute:
ponkblombers: $250 (Feb 10)
User A: $100 (Feb 12)
User B: $100 (Feb 13)
ponk's $250 goes directly towards the auction, since he gets to keep the game. So, hypothetically, the auction goes off at exactly $350; do users A and B each get $50 back, or does user B get $100 back, since technically, his funds wouldn't have been used?
Personally I think the former is a much fairer way of going about it; just wanted to clear it up though exactly how you planned on handling the situation.
P.S. I get paid tomorrow morning and will be contributing my $20 ASAP.

Each person would get 50$ back. Cool  Somebody on /vr/ is claiming that he's going to bid 70,000 yen for his scanlation group, so I don't know how possible this is going to be anymore. I'm still going to bid the best I can though. Honestly the guy was kind of mean so I don't know if he's being honest or not. Hmm...  Well, he claims that if he wins, he will still release a rip/scans, so I guess it's not a big deal. Though it sorta throws a spanner in the works in terms of the donation fund. I think you should continue collecting donations however, in case this guy isn't legit. If he is, then so be it; you can give out refunds, and although it'll be disappointing for you to not own the physical copy, we'd still come out on top as a collective (a rip is way better than nothing, right?) |

Yeah. After lurking the thread for the last hour or so, he seems pretty legit. Also, he has agreed that he will not bid unless the bid exceeds our combined maximum. I honestly think this is kind of good; gives us more chance of getting the game, and not having it snatched up by some private collector that wouldn't be willing to share.
ETA: Is it true that you already refunded donations, ponk?

Hey guys I've been following this thread pretty keenly, now that ponks out of the game is anyone else gonna be bidding?
The 70k guy on 4chans gone quiet so its looking pretty bad. There's no way I can afford to make a bid for it but I'll definately contribute.
Is cc0 or Joestar still interested bidding for it, crowd funding ect?

Errrr, I'm not sure what happened, but so apparently the guys willing to buy the game and rip it have given up on it.
Should we start a new crowdfund? Once again, I'm willing to part with $50 if the game is put back into auction and fundraisers get a share back based on their contribution.

Allright guys, im going to be loading up quite a bit, but if you guys want to give any added insurance i will take in some extra coins to guarantee we get this game.
