I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this, but I decided to anyway.
ComputerandVideogames.com recently did an article on games that need sequels on the Xbox360. And guess which game came at 2nd place:
2. SHENMUE II
Sega's gripping tale of revenge MUST be completed
There are very few games that are so full of emotion, depth and scenic beauty as Shenmue II. It's a totally unique experience - Ryo Hazuki's quest to avenge his father's death by killing the evil underground gang lord Lan Di was fantastically played out with brilliantly developed characters and a heart-poundingly good soundtrack. This was one of those games that sucked you into its world and really made you care about what was unfolding on the screen.
And that's why we're going out of our brains to see what happens to Ryo. Shenmue II ended on a whopping cliffhanger that was even more open-ended than bloody Halo 2's. Three years later and not knowing what's going to happen is still pecking our heads.
But that's not the only reason Sega needs to finish what it started on Dreamcast. When Shenmue II was released its attention to detail was technically groundbreaking. You could walk into every house, shop and interact with every object, open every draw and operate everything that had moving parts. Back then that level of detail was unheard of. Even now, it remains one of the most complete virtual worlds ever created. Imagine how real, how interactive and how beautiful a world Sega could create on 360. We'd move in!

Glad to see that there's at least someone who still cares about finishing the Shenmue saga. And I agree with everything he said in this article.
