Reason for the Dissolution: Clover Studio Co., Ltd. has met the goal of developing unique and creative original home video game software, however, in view of promoting a business strategy that concentrates management resources on a selected business to enhance the efficiency of the development power of the entire Capcom group, the dissolution of Clover Studio Co., Ltd. has been raised and passed at a Board of Directors' meeting.
I'm not entirely fluent in corporate speak, but, does this mean they weren't making enough money?
Anyway, since it was completely owned by Capcom, maybe some of the members will simply be absorbed there.

Ok......I bought Viewtiful Joe 1 and and even that shitty SSBM clone Which one of you assholes didn't buy them? Technically, VJ1 wasn't a Clover game. It was developed internally by Capcom under the banner of "Team Viewtiful." However, as I understand it, Clover Studios was primarily created out of Team Viewtiful members. I have Okami (which I'm currently playing) and the GC versions of VJ1 and 2. I'm planning to get God Hand soon. Is VJ:DS any good?

I bought Okami, but don't really like it. That's the only Clover game I've bought, though I played Viewtiful Joe a while back and hated it.

And Team Viewtiful was part of Capcom Production Studio 4 Anyway really sad news, I just hope they will end up in Capcom Production Studio 4 and their creativity freedom won't be hurt too much

If this means Shinji Mikami is leaving Capcom, someone's gonna die.

I read somewhere that Mikami is staying with Capcom, but the other two guys are leaving.

It isn't too bad- pretty much a faithful, portable VJ but with less speech. The touch screen functions can be a bit twitchy but the second level was Resident Evil theme'd and that pretty much sold me on it

Good, at least they're keeping Mikami. Here's hoping he'll keep working on Resident Evil.
It's sad to see Hideki what's-his-name leave, though. I hear he was the main director for Devil May Cry until the other guy took over for DMC2 and 3.

I'm sure they'll find a new home. Maybe not all on the same team, but more talent to go around in other companies.
I'm REAL behind on most modern gaming, so just lemme ask this: Should I get Viewtiful Joe 2 and Double Trouble for the DS? I'm definitely snagging Okami and God Hand, trust me on this one.
