Goddamn those flickering GIFs are obnoxious and completely unnecessary/counterproductive if the supposed aim is to get people to appreciate game pixel art. Some of them don't even make sense, like that one taken from some PC88/98 porn game. Who even finds that appealing? This is first time in a long while that I've needed to take a long break from the monitor. Which I probably should be doing anyway. This and this are from Flame Zapper Kotsujin.

This is from it too it seems. Oops ninja'd Succubus: Nice too, how you people recognise these is beyond me :0

It's beyond me too, considering I've never even played Cybernator. I guess the background stuck in my memory for some reason after reading the HG101 article a long while back. I really wish the images weren't cropped to such tiny sections. Some of those sky backgrounds with fluffy white clouds look like they're familiar, but there's no way I could identify them from the bajillion games I've seen and/or played without more details.

BTW I gotta say thanks to you. You asking for a visual compilation of the images rather than a series of unclickable links made me create that Tumblr page, and thanks to that so many people are joining in! Thanks a bundle.

"Toumei Ningen - Arawaru Arawaru"
I've heard of this VN before; it has the most incredible art of anything I've seen on the PC-98. I hope it gets translated someday.

hello, noirlacsourced admin here.
first up, I have to say that I am amazed by the efforts going on over here. especially drpepperfan's dedication to the cause, which puts me to shame. I can't thank you guys enough.
I guess I should apologize for the very barebones list of links - as someone with astoundingly poor time management skills, most of my sourcing runs are done late at night in a tired daze before I sleep, so copypasta dumping into a dropbox file is as much effort as I can muster. my bad, really, and I must tip my hat again to drpepperfan for compiling the visual list.
the flashing images, I've contemplated reuploading still versions for the sake of everyone's eyes. the only thing holding me back is an inexplicable reluctance to do anything other than reblog noirlac's content intact (deeply ingrained dislike of reposting, I guess, which is fair netiquette in just about any other situation) and, well, effort. perhaps I should take a quick straw poll on the blog itself at some point.
I thought I might have more to say than that but I guess I don't. thanks again, you guys are great.

It's a mighty fine thing you're doing with your project, TerminILL. I can't stand when people like Noirlac refuse to identify sources. It's even less excusable that Noirlac bitches at people for stealing "his" work.
