Dude, that's pretty cool ! ;D I take it some of those are photo-shopped? That's pretty good. Actually, I remember another picture I could upload looking at that Ys pic. They were a couple of pics I made during a capstone project college class, but I'll have to see if I saved them or not. I might even have something I did using Macromedia Director...but I'm not sure. I'll probably put them in photobucket and show em later. Anyway, cool pics. I'm not that good, but I try

youraveragejoe.deviantart.comI mainly used it as an image hosting service for ripped sprites back when I was a Megaman fanboy, but you can see some (really bad) custom work, too.

Good stuff people. I notice there are more people here who use deviantart over things like photobucket. Is there any advantages of using them over photobucket? If I have some time, I could start an account with them too.

It's all personal preference, really. Deviantart has a comments feature which is intended for people to leave critiques on art pages, but honestly I never got any use out of that because nobody ever looked at my art.

Most people who get people to look at their art on deviant are either
1. Spamming other people with comments so they build up an enormous amount of trackbacks or 2. Already well established so everyone who watches them keeps checking them.
I use deviantart because it's the easiest for me to be bothered to use.

I have a photobucket account, but most of the things I keep there are not mine, mostly it's either art that someone gave to me or image macros or other funny stuff.

I joined in early September when I was about begin my SFC topic. I made a couple Saturn topics elsewhere over the years but did not include pics, so no matter how well I describe obscure games, it's hard to really get a grasp if you don't see pictures of the game
PB is awesome. I was recommended to put my pics on Imageshack b/c the page would load faster, but IS is a bit more complicated, PB is very beginner-friendly to edit and whatnot.
If PB didn't exist, my topic probably wouldn't either. Most of the fun is including pics for people to see. otherwise it's just a bunch of babble =P

That Dante pixel art was pretty cool. I think I'm going to see about buying me a scanner tommorrow. While I could draw on the computer, it's very tedious for me unless I have some kind of guideline. I draw pictures by hand, then I scan them up and trace over them, re-color certain segments, add additional detail, etc. I'm a little excited about it because I want to get some of my pictures and posters I drew on to photobucket to share with others. I also want to finish this sketch I made for what I felt the main character from Inindo: Way of the Ninja should look like.
