Guys, you're both right. There's a reason NTSC is jokingly referred to as Never The Same Color. The only way to verify the accuracy of an emulator is comparing the colors directly on the same screen with the same settings using the same connection. But that's really mostly a problem with the NES hardware. Every other console (at least on emulators) only has one set palette equal across all emulators. It's the NES emulators that couldn't quite settle on what is the "correct" NES palette (because there isn't one), which is why there are a bunch of different palettes available. Although, it's been years since every emulator settled with one palette (the Nestopia one I believe?). |

I can’t really agree on Battletoads being ”ugly”, at least on NES standards. The remember the game’s graphics being lauded on the press at the time, and at the time thought it looked really great myself too.

It's just a beta test for now. They're bringing him back for permanent in Season 3.

I don't care about the New KI at all (or old KI).
But this is such an amazing guest character I'm tempted to get a One just to play it.
All those moves from the game, wow. It's just...it's just great.

It's just...it's just great. You could just get Windows 10, if you've reserved it or you've got the money to buy the OS. That'd be a way better alternative than buying an XBOX One in my book. ...Y'know, I can't even imagine what a modern-gen Battletoads would be like. All I can think of is that it'd be some kind of co-op platformer/brawler with a lot of setpiece stages. ...So, not that different than the original game, I guess. |
