I think the first three rows this round should've been fairly recognisable to any member of this forum and the scores seem to support that notion. And even if you hadn't played Zoop - the interplanar, yellow-horned Samurai, the marketing campaign at the time was inescapable. The recent remake might've helped, too. And I've never played Kid Icarus Uprising myself (nor have I played much of the 8 bit games), but I'll be damned if I didn't recognise good old Eggplant Wizard in any interation. Such a great character design, indeed!
I'm somewhat proud to immediately have recognised 21 as Amiga-esque, though it took me a while to find the actual game. And 23 was quite tough for me, as I assumed at first that the system was some sort of early PC popular in Japan (Sharp X1 or something). Only via process of elimination (using the hints) I figured out it must've had an arcade origin.
The main difficulty with 25 stems from its zoomed-in view. My first thoughts were: "Great, that could be almost any game!" Only a bit later it clicked. So anything less familiar than Aladdin might've been too mean, even for the last row.
Good round, everybody!
edit: And Bonsai Barber, I might've heard about it way back then - but obviously not a game that stuck with me.

I'm pretty happy with my score. A lot of Nintendo games I've not played since the Gamecube days.

Mr_Horizon - Apologies if this was already pointed out to you, but you have 17 and 19 the wrong way round in your answer graphic.

I liked Bonsai Barber, great Multiplayer fun on the Wii. Very enjoyable because you didn't need as much skill, it wasn't competitive like multiplayer stuff usually is. Also the pointer controls were great for beginners. excelsior you made me compare player counts, and you are right - this round IS a record for this community! EDIT: thanks, no one had mentioned that 17 and 19 were flipped on the answer picture. It didn't influence scores.

May Quiz - Topless DudesOver the many years of this quiz series, we've really had quite a few puzzles whose theme was more or less " women".... tinyurl.com/42nnxeb7, tinyurl.com/2p8822b9, tinyurl.com/2p876dpa and the totally not juvenile tinyurl.com/yc3zj5pb. It's an absurdity that we never did this with the male video game characters! So we're making up for it now, and " topless" the 25 gentlemen have to be as well. So how about it - do you recognise all games just by the sixpacks?? This round is considerably less retro than usual, I hope you can still manage. Deadline is Tuesday 31 May, enter via www.retrogamequiz.com/. Here comes the quiz, have fun: Direct link: i.imgur.com/prY7Zka.png

Geez, I could've totally done well on the bountiful breastsesssesss quiz.
I'm a bit at a loss for this round, but I'll aim for a score of 10. =)

There's no otters in video games huh? Surprisingly enough this quiz isn't exactly up my alley. I do recognise about half of them but unfortunately I don't know any from the bottom row (23-25 are familiar). Google searches on this topic only end in distraction. The throne is up for the taking this month I reckon. Geez, I could've totally done well on the bountiful breastsesssesss quiz. I'm a bit at a loss for this round, but I'll aim for a score of 10. =) Clicking on that was a mistake. It frightened me to the core of my being. I think I'd have had to play 'blind' for that round.

May Quiz - Clues #1In this round we'll know if someone uses Google or not... your browser history will have some very strange entries and you'll have probably seen some "fan art" that you would rather forget again (at least that's how I felt during the research). Sorry not sorry There are 25 players so far, and today I would like to give you a few hints: 1) There was a lot of excitement around AAA title #3 in the current decade. I can't say anything about the style, because that's also the name of the game. 2) Questions about #8? Several characters from this series can also be found in Super Smash Bros. 3) Five games in this round have only appeared on Nintendo consoles (ok, one of them is just an exclusive remake). 4) Four titles are pure fighting games, where the gameplay consists 100% of 1vs1 fights. Deadline is Tuesday 31st May, participation via www.retrogamequiz.com/. Here's the quiz again, have fun: i.imgur.com/prY7Zka.png

Hahaha, I'll play it blind too. If it's offered as a kind of braille. This quiz has brought out the worst in us. The worst! There's consensus forming in another forum that there should be a riddle about...uh, backsides of characters. As a bonus twist you'd have to specify if it's a male or female one and receive penalty points for getting it wrong. Not anytime soon, but I found myself warming up to the idea.

Err.... well... this would certainly reveal a unique vantage point on people's approach to the hobby I guess.....

May Quiz - Clues #2There are only nine days left for you to get in on this round.... are you in yet? Only one player from here (out of just under 40 total), so probably NOT. Let's go, here are the final clues! 1) The #13 is a dating sim, if you want you can date the gentleman pictured! 2) Number 7 comes from a long line of creative JRPGs. 3) Game 18 is part of a series with stealth gameplay and is played from either first or 3rd person perspective. 4) And last - the titles in this picture did NOT make it into this round for various reasons: i.imgur.com/BSHzBx9.png ...because I didn't know the games, I had forgotten the character, didn't think they were suitable, they are already scheduled for another round or have already been used in the past. Deadline is Tuesday 31st of May, enter via www.retrogamequiz.com/Here's the quiz again, have fun: i.imgur.com/prY7Zka.png
