April Quiz - Sound FX - hints

well, that's a tough one! Average score is below 10, and a dozen points is already enough for the top positions...

Only number two, three and nine seem to be okay, with a solution rate of 75-85% most people know these sounds.


So, let's have some hints for the most difficult ones:


1) The number 25 is the most difficult & obscure one. It's the sound of an unusual weapon in a realtime strategy game of the early 90s.

2) We got number 18, a well known Metroidvania which has been ported to several systems. This jingle is played when a new heart container is found.

3) the next is field 19....the sound taken from a highly acclaimed SciFi game has got something to do with air vents.

4) nobody knows! Number 23 is a real mystery... just like the event where the sound is played. In the beginning of the year, this game released in 2014 made some headlines with a great surprise for its players, where this sound occurs as well.

- and the newest game is in the last row, from the year 2014.
- there are two games from the Mario universe in the quiz, but none of them is a platformer.

1) number 6 and number 24 are well known & best selling games for the nintendo game boy.

2) there are many first person shooters in this quiz, the entries are 9, 14, 17, 19 and 21.

3) the games Nr.10 and Nr.20 are fighting game classics.

4) With just 5% of users figuring them out, nr23 and nr25 are now the hardest titles of the quiz. One of them you play from a cockpit perspective, and the other one from an isometric birdview.

June Quiz - Sports - Hints #1

Okay, half the month is over, and 25 users tried their luck with the topic "sports". If you haven't yet, time to join the ranks - there's still plenty of room in the top 10.


Here are five hints, good luck:

1) Game number 2 is new, june 2017 - it just came out!

2) There are four Nintendo games in this quiz, Sega is there several times as well.

3) There is only one game in this quiz where the name is just the name of the sport. Just one!

4) The numbers 4,8 and 16 don't show ingame graphics, but instead the cover of the game.

5) Two of the games are titles for the Neo Geo.
