Hey everyone, I'm currently on vacation and didn't plan so well - now I can't finish this month's quiz in time. :/ That's why I'm taking a break for a month and we will continue in November. See you then!

Mr_Horizon Did mine not make it in? I'm pretty sure I got it in on time. It doesn't show... you are the second person to claim a missed entry this time! I don't know what happened, I surely didn't delete any submission. :/ Sorry, submit twice this month? Time zone difference? What's the GMT cut-off time for submission?

Time zone difference? What's the GMT cut-off time for submission? There is no such harsh cut-off time for submissions, the window only closes when I start posting the answers! I really don't know how entries get lost, it just happens once in a while.

November Quiz - Board & Card GamesAfter a month's break, here comes Quiz #99... as chosen by you in the last round, it's about board games in digital form - sometimes you'll see direct conversions, and sometimes just titles that where in some way inspired by physical games. So, similar to the " movie license" or " comic license" quizzes from previous years, you can get a whole lot of points with some knowledge from outside of computer games. There is also a bonus question: Which board game was used as a background for the intro image? Deadline is Thursday the 30th of November, enter via www.retrogamequiz.com/. Here's the quiz... take turns clockwise, grab your dice and start! Direct link: i.imgur.com/pSlkklm.png

Oh, this round is very much my jam! I know most of these on first sight, so hoping I can score full marks this round.

And here this just makes me lament that there was never an adaptation for the Omega Virus. Alas

November Quiz - Clues #1Half the month is over, fifty players are already in. Not bad, but there's still a lot of room at the table and nobody has scored full points - sit down, grab a dice and join in! ^_^ Here are the first clues: 1) Game 3 is from this decade, the award-winning first title from a new German game company - here we had the video game first, then the board game. 2) Title number 7 is a well-known children's game where you control a hippopotamus. 3) If you like Japanese RPGs, you may have already seen the card game in picture 9. This title is available as an RPG mini-game and as a stand-alone online game. 4) In picture number 14, we see the ps2 spin-off of a strategy series in the form of a virtual board game. The deadline is Thursday 30th of November, please participate via www.retrogamequiz.com/Here's the quiz again... if it's your turn and you can't lay a card, you have to draw one! i.imgur.com/pSlkklm.png

Submitting my answers would mean lowering the average score for HG101. 😂 We've gotta represent. Godspeed, contestants!

November Quiz - Clues #2The final week is underway, over sixty players are hoping for as many correct entries as possible... but nobody has reached full points yet! Are you already playing or still waiting for more help? Well, here it is. grad - there is no "lowering averages", there is only player count. Hope you still join in the last days! These are the last clues: 1) Wii title number 15 was designed with Steven Spielberg. 2) Having sold millions of copies in almost twenty years, many of you will have come across the railway-based game #8. 3) Number 6 is an award-winning classic board game in which you chase a criminal through London. 4) First published in 1989, re-released in 2021 and turned into a computer game in the 90s - game 13 is also a classic! The deadline for entries is next week, Thursday 30 November, participation via www.retrogamequiz.com/Here's the quiz again... watch out, next week the game is over. Can I ask if 7 is actually a video game? Or actually a game named for the board game in question? From what I can tell there was no actual video game interpretation, although there was an appearance in a game of another series and a non-video arcade game. I'm a little confused as to what is expected here. Perhaps I'm missing something.

There is a current mobile version and a delisted one from a decade ago. Neither of them look like the screenshot, but I assume it's something like that.

OK, thanks. I guess I'll just put the board game name in the answer.
