Wasn't that the David Duchovney soft porn series? I haven't thought about that in ages.

Yeah. Always looked like it was shot on someone's dad's JVC camcorder.

They spend the budget on blow and strippers.

Well they should have had the common decency to at least put the strippers on the show! You'd see more skin in the average Senran Kagura game these days.

Even so, Red Shoe Diaries probably had a better budget than any of the repurposed tokusatsu stuff. lmao, Red Shoe Diaries. Anyway I'm sorry to say I hated Power Rangers as a kid, I thought it was the hokiest, lamest shit ever, I'm talking even at 6 years old I thought it was below me, most of my friends felt the same way too, in fact I remember one boy using the ultimate kid insult: "it's for babies", even the kids I did know who liked it basically used the "it's so bad it's good" defense. In fact the 90s had a lot of kid stuff that I remember kids making a note to expound their hate for, like Barney, Barney bashing was everywhere in the 90s. However over time learning of the Japan connection I have slightly more respect for it, plus it gave Johnny Yong Bosch his start, I like him, but it still seems like a watered down version to me, I can't believe they've turned into a big budget Hollywood movie.
