Some games basically depend on those, like The Bouncer on PS2 for example. Is there any way at all to emulate them?

You mean analog triggers? I don't see why not, as long as you're using a joypad that also has analog triggers.

It sort of is. It just that my experience with it is rather limited. I've tested it on PCSX2 with original PS3 Sixaxis gamepad in wired mode(DualShock 3 should work, not sure about 3rd party ones and wireless mode).You would need Scp driver installed on your system of course and LilyPad-Scp-r5875.dll plugin file in order for it to work(i think newer revisions don't require the latter though, as it supports DS 3 native mode right off the bat with updated files). Tested it on Gran Turismo 3 with different button layouts for braking and accelerating and it worked reasonably well.
