Original game vs. Spiritual successor - which do you prefer?

Dark Souls > King's Field (Still have love for KF but I think DS improves on almost every aspect while keeping a lot of the tone)

The Evil Within > Resident Evil 4 and onward.

I always thought Alundra was a straight sequel to Landstalker.

I prefer Project X Zone over Namco x Capcom solely because it has Sega characters too.
