All four NES games received some radical changes during the localizing, but it seems the third game was the most obvious, when it was localized in 1991. Here's just some of the new music cues added in this version of the game, which was a three year difference between it and the original 1988 release: * New music and new title screen (it was plain and silent in the original) * Menu music from Dragon Quest IV has been added (the menu was silent in the original) * New music has been added for the scene where Ortega dies. It's a slowed down version of the battle music. * To go along with the localization credits, the ending theme was extended to include a reprise of the Alefgard theme. But whether or not they actually brought Sugiyama back to compose these new pieces, is a mystery.
