Castlev... Bloodstained Curse of the Moon (8-bit) announced

This looks like a PC Engine game with 8 bit pixel artwork and I'm totally fine with that; I'll happily take the increased amount of sprites and things going on. Fantastic music as well. This is looking awesome, good to know Inti Creates still know how to do this.

As much as I'm excited and hyped for Bloodstained, I actually have more faith in Curse of the Moon. It really looks like a direct sequel to Castlevania III, and I am so completely down with that.

Symphony of the Night is probably tied with Rondo of Blood for my favorite Castlevania, but I have to admit that every Castlevania after SotN has been rather disappointing to me, aside from Order of Ecclesia. I really hope the two Bloodstained games provide excellent successors to both the linear and metroidvania Castlevania traditions.
