Contra and Super C. Sat down for an afternoon with each of them and had them cleared before the end of the day.

Every time someone mentions Super C on the Internet I think of this: It's a local supermarket chain

Ouroboros in SMT: Strange Journey. It has a reputation for being tough, but it's not too bad with a fire attack based same alignment party with immunity to Expel.

Geez, I think I've beaten the turbo tunnel maybe 5 times in my life, and I bought Battletoads when it was new.
The farthest I've ever made it is that stupid snake level. Which tbh was a pretty cool idea for a level.

My Battletoads journey often ended in 'The Gargantua' ship level due to a glitch(the toad lands a few inches above the time-bomb and you can't hit it). I was only able to complete it a few years ago by doing the next best thing: use save states.

I didn't have a NES as a kid, and didn't play the Battletoads games as a kid except for maybe renting BTDD SNES once.
I hear Aero the Acrobat was supposed to be a pretty challenging game. I recall I beat it once. It definitely took the BT school of game design, though. (mostly "ride" levels)
Though I tried the GBA port once, and I recall that port had some rather slippery control. Guessing it really needed the save feature that was added to it.

A lot of people seem to struggle with Yunalesca in FFX, but I never really had a problem. Just keep two people as zombies and you're usually good.

Regardless that it is kind of player-hating design for a five-minute cutscene followed by a multiphase boss fight that uses a kill-all attack in the last phase. I have read FAQs that advised just using Rikku as a damage sponge for some kind of AP-farming exploits, but I will say her very high Agility was very helpful to get many turns to revive the more useful characters.
