Reflective floors in MDK (Windows, 1997) AFAIR they are pretty much just transparent; that's actually the background bitmap (warped slightly, but still just one for all of them). It LOOKS like they're reflecting, but it's super easy on the hardware. Also seconded, this is a stellar thread. Thanks for all these great images.

Jimmys whites snooker was very Clever. It Harv a very realistically physics model. When you take a shot there is a few frames of animation of the cue being drawn back a few times during which all the physics of that shot was calculated.

I still love displays that use that kind of hologram. I remember there was a museum that used to have these little dioramas populated with little hologram people doing stuff.
