Those who migrated from DCTP were calling Xbox Dreamcast 2... probably because of the controller, though, but also because of Panzer Dragoon Orta.

Glad to see there's more life being pumped into this oh, so excellent yet very, very tough masterpiece.
I'd be willing to call the 360 a Dreamcast 2 when there's a Panzer Dragoon Saga (Orta doesn't quite count in this regard) and Skies of Arcadia sequel out for it (and at that point I'd even consider buying one).

Lets looks at what sega has to offer on 360 VF 5 Sonic Next Gen Sega Rally Evo Virtua Tennis 3 2k sports has the 2k series (which is always best on XBOX Phantasy Star Universe and Backward compatibility we got Puyo Pop Fever2 (however since it's an import game It's questionable if it'll work on our 360s) Shadow The Hedgehog Shenmue 2 Soccer Slam Sonic Mega collection plus Sonic Heroes Hopefully Orta and Gunvalkyrie will be in the next update. But there's alot of Sega love on 360 Plus Soul Calibur 2 (which looks ALOT better on 360) I gotta get a save transferer for my 360 now. That's dreamcast enough for me. plus the controller, we got the whole swerl thing going, The discs looks the same from the bottom. (take a look) the whole white thing going AND peter moore is at the helm......... www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3145154 (however while the dreamcast DVD drive never came the HD DVD drive did in reference to #10)

The 360 at this point has a much more compelling library of games than the DC ever did, imo. If I wasn't happy enough with my PS2 and DS I would certainly get one (again).

The heart of the dreamcast was and is it's import games and awesome shooter library but it also had it's share of sleeper games like Super Magnetic Neo among others and I still think the best version of 3rd strike is on the Dreamcast (graphical glitches and music pauses between rounds not with standing)
I Cant wait for the 360 to start getting SNK support but knowing Lazy SNK it'll be a year after the annoucement when it actually happens I hate modern SNK but that's another thread

Lets see how MOTW2 turns out before you say you hate modern SNK.
Ikaruga is a great game, but really... I'm not too excited about it being on 360, since it was already on Dreamcast and Gamecube... all the people who would be interseted in a shooter like that have already played it to death on other systems. Nobody else will care.
Level 4 still causes my mind to explode.

If there is a MOTW 2 I expect it on the Next Gen systems by next Gen I mean the next wave of systems......SNK takes FOREVER on these things at least Takara was swift with their ports. I'll buy Ikaruga a 3rd time. I have bought Street Fighter countless times.

Whoa, I gotta disagree with this one; maybe it's because of the types of games one prefers, but I really think the DC has one of the best ratio of quality to crap games for any system.
Agreed; the DC's selection of Sega, Capcom and SNK arcade games (specifically shooters and fighters) is quite amazing, and it has tons of quirky games which, if you're into import and "out there" stuff if you're willing to look.
I'm not so sure DC has the best version of SF3, however. I remember hearing the PS2 version is the most faithful to the arcade, though I forget exactly where... probably not worth arguing over.
On topic, I probably won't buy Ikaruga for a third time, but it's great to hear it will be sold (hopefully) on a new console for two main reasons. One, I really pray it's the end of 2-stick shooters - for some reason, I never felt comfortable controlling any of these types of games. Two, if this does well, maybe we'll see more serious shooters available for download in the US. Hell, if Japanese arcade shooters are easily available here, I'll almost pay full retail to be able to play them on a nonmodded US system.

The PS2 3rd strike is pretty good but 360 has online and is basically the same as PS2 so.......... Yeah I'm sick of all these 2 stick shooters when you're basically buying the same game. I don't care what people say Mutant storm reloaded and Geometry wars ARE THE SAME GAME!

I already thought the 360 as the Dreamcast v2.0 the moment G.Rev started supporting the system, as Senko no Ronde could've also been on the Dreamcast, but wasn't.
I'm going to say that G.Rev also was involved in the Ikaruga port too, as they were involved in making the game engine, since almost nobody else can rival them when it comes to making shmup engines like that.

Hope they have an online ranking/scoring thingy. If they don't— there'll be hell to pay. Wait, what am I talkin' about, I don't even have an Xbox 360... and I already have it fer gamecube, anyway... I like Radiant SIlvergun better; even if it is burned on a CD-R...
I must be bored.
