For the latest version of MAME Namco's Burning Force now plays in its proper speed (it was a bit slow in past versions), while Joe & Mac now sounds way too fast (it was in its proper speed in past versions). Super Contra and other Konami games just like it still sound too slow.
Also, I love that more games previously unplayable are now playable; the Japanese version of Double Dragon II for example.

It's normal in programming to fix one thing and break others. If you find some games that are no longer working as they should, report it to the MAME team. Otherwise they will never know and will never get fixed.

I'm sure there have been others who filed complaints to MAME about the slowdown in certain Konami games, yet the MAME team is still not doing anything about it.

MAME is full of little issues like this that should have been ironed out ages ago, but never have. Why, for example, is there still framerate stutter in Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man? Those games should be running flawlessly at this point. I'm sure there have been others who filed complaints to MAME about the slowdown in certain Konami games, yet the MAME team is still not doing anything about it. Because the MAME "team" is not really a team, it's just a bunch of random people that work on what they want on the little free time they have. All reports stay open until someone fixes it. If no one has fixed it it's because no one knows how, or the people that do know don't have the time, or maybe there's not enough info as to what it's causing the issue. You guys make it sound as if they are hired employees that must fix everything as soon as it is reported. This is a free emulator done by people on their free time. If you don't like it, then make your own perfect emulator or buy the real game. Can't do either? Then tough luck.

Are you part of the MAME team? Is that why you're getting so butthurt right now? No I'm not part of the team, but I've been around enough to see manchildren such as yourself act as if emulator authors owe you anything. I've done my fair share of reporting for things that haven't been fixed too, but I understand these people are just fans who have lives and wives and children and jobs and they work on the emulator when they can on what they feel motivated to do so at that time. They don't have to respond to every single report (which are plenty) for a myriad of reasons, but it should still be reported in hopes someone will eventually fix it. If it never gets reported, then it will definitely never get fixed. Those things are not mutually exclusive. Also, Tirade: "a long, angry speech of criticism or accusation." What I said was literally a single line. Are you new to the internet? Is that why you're getting so butthurt right now?

Speaking of emulation speed, what about the Arcade Archives? Is the speed on games like Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun and Double Dragon II accurate compared to MAME? They run much faster than they do in MAME. I made a thread about it, but no one responded to it.
