Yes. There MUST be an Okami for the Wii. I can't imagine painting with an analog stick now that I've played with the Wii =P

"I can only pray that they can get ahold of the rights to their properties, like Okami and God Hand. "
Large companies like Capcom never sell their properties even to the ones that created them. Unless they settle it with $$$

One word: ROCK.
Another bright group of young Japanese developers breaks out on their own, spawned from a giant. Treasure, Q & now Seeds, amongst many others. I really hope they can get that Okami license, but we may need to wait until they have a couple releases and can afford it. Do everyone a favor; buy their games.
The fact that Mikami took the leap makes you wonder what's going on at Capcom? He is a star developer, and that is a huge loss for them. Franchise-milking is finally catching up to Capcom. Just keep the Classics Collections coming, okay?

Maybe they will still develop games for Capcom without actually being part of them? Kinda like Grasshopper and Killer 7.

Large companies like Capcom never sell their properties even to the ones that created them. Unless they settle it with $$$ Yes, but Capcom finds the Okami and Godhand rights to be useless. When a big company feels that a label has run its course, they let it go without too much trouble. If the company doesn't feel that a particular lisence is worth venturing to make a new game out of or forking over the cash to update, it's not worth anything to them anymore. Capcom let Capcom USA have the rights to Street Fighter (who have sadly done nothing with them) relatively quietly.

True, but I don't see it happening. Capcom always finds a way to milk their games. Maybe in the future they'll release a "Games that didn't sell collection" hehe.

Actually I don't find that to be true at all. Companies will always be very protective of any intellectual property due to the potential future use even if there's no actual use at a given time.
Look at System Shock. Irrational Games (not Origin, but a developer that made up of many people from Origin, also the developer of System Shock 2, SWAT series, etc.) tried repeatedly to buy the System Shock name/etc. from EA but EA would never budge on it despite Irrational having money to spend. So Irrational announces Bioshock, a spiritual successor and just a few months later EA announces a System Shock 3 (which fortunately seems to have vanished).

Im actualy hoping that they didn't get to keep their intelectual properties so we'll get another fresh and original title instead of more of the same.

Yeah I assume the reason No More Heroes exists is because they could no longer make a game involving characters/situations from Killer 7........Wait that's Grasshopper. Either way with the talent involved I'm sure Clover will fourish.

No way Capcom let him retain the rights to one of it's strongest franchises +They're already working hard on the fifth and a wii title.
