So I've been playing a Picross game on my 3DS again lately. They have such an addictive and satisfying quality; it's hard to stop. I should probably avoid buying more of them for that reason (especially since there are surely free versions that are at least as good). But I just don't get some of these Mega Picross problems. Consider: The first column has its numbers in blue, which suggests you should be able to deduce some information from nothing more than the big 7 and the 6, and the numbers will turn black when there is no more information. But I can't figure out how to satisfy that condition. Obviously the 6 indicates that there is an unbroken line of 6 on the right side of the column, so you can immediately start off by marking the six spaces from the bottom of the left side of the column, but that isn't enough to satisfy the clue. What else are you supposed to be able to establish? EDIT: Gah, posting about it helps. Of course the sixth space from the bottom in the right column has to be filled in, because there's no other way to fit in a line of six without it. Alas, threads are undeleteable.

Did you play Konami Pixel Puzzle Collection? It's free for mobiles.
I've finished it 4 times now. The classic Konami music with Konami-themed picross puzzles is great. It has an advanced more after you finish it the first time where you are unable to mark empty squares. Finishing that mode will greatly expand you picross mastery.

Picross games are the worst games ever.
I've so many games to play on my switch and yet every time I turn on my Switch I jump into a 'quick' game of Picross. And now I don't play anything else on it. I'm up to S3 now and have also beaten the strange overlord cross over game.
I have a picross problem.

My problem has gotten so bad at times even my dreams take the form of picross puzzles. Maybe there's a patch?

I played some of Pokemon Picross when it got leaked earlier this year. But stopped at map 5, so half way through, bc there were no 10x10 puzzles anymore. I don't like the 15x15 ones for some reason xD

You guys need to play Murder by Numbers, it's an Ace Attorney style investigation game, mixed with Picross puzzles.

You're really not making the situation better here ReyVGM. Seriously though, what proportion of the game would you say is Picross and how much is dialogue etc?

I finished it earlier this year and didn't really like it at all. I didn't think any of the plots were interesting or well developed, the Investigation mode for finding puzzles was beyond annoying, the puzzles subjects are monotonous and the actual puzzle construction is poor. I've gone through a gigantic pile of Picross this year, and I'd still rank that one dead last.
I do highly recommend Piczle Cross Adventure. It has excellent puzzles with a wide variety of themes and wrapped in a very light adventure framework that doesn't get in the way of the actual puzzling. The story is light and silly too with some nice touches. It's definitely a top 3 Picross for me along with DS and 3D.
