Boom blox. Pandora's tower. Completely forgot about both of these! Probably because I don't own them myself. They were for sure some of the biggest titles in respectively the early and late Wii eras.

Looks like a solid collection to me, mate. I second Rygar. Maybe keep an eye out for Nights:Journey of Dreams.

Thanks guys, I'll add those to my list. Lost in Shadow looks to be a rare one, can't find a copy for now.

Oh wow, I looked through the pictures twice and did not see Rhyhthm Paradise there xD Woopsie!
Didn't know Sakura Wars goes for that much now. A few years ago, when I got it, it was dirt cheap and seemed to be one of these games no one will ever care about xD
Anyways, glad someone else likes Endless Ocean 2. It's the best game on the Wii.

I wouldn't have thought some of those would qualify as "good". How about Trauma Team? Perhaps Sonic and the Secret Rings? Harvey Birdman, if you really want to stretch things? And some people seem to like House of the Dead: Overkill. I've never played Flingsmash Its reviews are most unkind, to say the least.

I'm afraid neither Trauma Team nor Harvey Birdman released in the PAL-Lands on wii. I do have Harvey Birdman on PSP though. I have tried Secret Rings and House of the Dead Overkill before. Unfortunately, neither of those are for me. I can't really place what I didn't like about House of the Dead Overkill tbh, I enjoyed previous entries. Thanksfor the answer all the same though, jorpho. I will try Flingsmash out regardless of reviews when I get around to picking these up. A lot of Wii games weren't given a fair chance by critics back in the day due to bias, so I'd trust users here over them, and the game can be picked up for ÂŁ3-4 so it's no big deal if I end up not liking it. I'm sure I'll disagree with you but just out of curiosity, which games would you say don't qualify as good?

I'm sure I'll disagree with you but just out of curiosity, which games would you say don't qualify as good? Well, I wouldn't have thought of them as good – but as you say, perhaps reviewers were unusually harsh in the day. I remember Excite Truck, DQ Swords, Rabbids Go Home, and Red Steel 2 as being received with little enthusiasm – though there is definitely no question that the Wii saw much, much worse. And Other M is constantly controversial. I thought you had Guilty Gear Isuka, but of course it is one of the other ones. (I can't believe Isuka is nearly twenty years old.)

Scores for FlingSmash were very low to be fair, but it's also a 2010 motion-controlled no-name retail Wii game, so it was never going to get high reviews. I think one of the main complaints was that it was too short to be a retail game, but considering it can now be picked up for the price of a frozen pizza that should give the game a bit of a benefit of the doubt.
Also some reviewers complained about the controls. Now, I haven't played it myself, but I'm a bit skeptical that a first party Wiimote Plus game has bad controls. I'm reminded of Skyward Sword. Now, Skyward Sword got great reviews, so in that game's case it's mostly non-reviewer players being too stupid to learn the controls, but I think that reviewers have less of an incentive to give enough of a shit about freaking FlingSmash to learn its controls than to learn a Zelda game's controls, so I still have to try for myself. For all I know the controls might actually suck, but we'll see.

Babysitting Mama is also a strangely compelling game. The regular Cooking Mama games on Wii have fiddly controls, but having a plush baby as a controller somehow works much better.

Quick thoughts on those games: Excite Truck is actually excellent. It was unduly criticised for having few tracks and I saw critics claiming there wasn't a learning curve which was pure nonsense. Actually the game is built like a score attack game where learning the tracks is vital, and has dynamic transforming layouts which add to the complexity. This was a case of reviewers not understanding what was in front of them. Rabbids Go Home was a simple but fun collectathon. There's not much depth to it but its a good time Red Steel 2, I think you're thinking of the original which was a mess tbh. The sequel really had nothing to do with that one and was one of the few titles to showcase Wii Motion+. The action is great fun and there's some nice motion based swordplay. Dragon Quest Swords I didn't get far in though. It was very wordy which seems at odds with the simple gameplay. dsparil - I'm not sure if you're joking, honestly? I must admit I don't do babies though. An hour with the niece and nephew has me reaching for the aspirin. 🧀Son of Suzy Creamcheese🧀 - reviewers basically complained about motion controls on every game was my recollection. I think they also expected a full length game even though it was being sold as a near freebie with a motion plus controller.
