Ring Master: The Shadow of Filias (PC98/X68000)

Ring Master I: The Shadow of Filias is a first person role-playing game released by Hobby Japan in 1988 for PC98 and X68000. What makes it interesting is that, despite being from Japan, it seems to take more influence from Western RPGs than you would expect. Unfortunately, I'm having emulation troubles with both versions of the game. The PC98 version boots up fine, but it skips the character creation screen and starts you off in the first town. This kind of sucks because Ring Master allows for a lot of freedom in character creation, so I feel I'm missing out on an important part of the game. Secondly, for all I know, it might be impossible to beat the game with this character. I think this is probably because of some kind of problem with the system disk or data disk, so I was hoping someone might have one that does work properly. The X68000 version does allow you to create your own character, but afterwards it asks for a password (probably copy prototection) and I have no idea how to proceed. The manual doesn't say anything about this as far as I know. 


I don't really expect anyone here to know the answer, and I normally would have asked at the Tokugawa Corporate Forums, but I can't for the life of me get my account approved for whatever reason. If someone with an account there could pass along this question, that would be great!
