As in: Character in the fore ground, enemies that need to be aimed at in the background. Any games other than these?
Cabal Blood Bros. Pirates Alligator Hunt Shoot Out (predates Cabal) Wild Guns

Rambo/Ashura on the SMS the 360's awesome as fuck Assault Heroes. You're thinking Commando clones. I'm not even sure I'd classify Assault Heroes as one of those, however rad it may be. Also, are we counting games like Dynamite Duke, where the viewpoint is closer to your character? I THINK The Super Spy for the Neo Geo is like that, and there's this one other arcade game that I can't remember...if Ed Oscuro is still around, he's the one that initially showed it to me, he'd probably remember.

* Dick Tracy (SMS/Genesis) * Predator II (Atari ST/Amstrad CPC/Amiga/C64/DOS/ZX Spectrum --- SMS and Genesis versions plays differently/are different games) * Dynamite Duke (SMS/Genesis)

Naw, Super Spy was first person, and you were pretty much stuck on the screen (although it might scroll left/right) whenever an enemy appeared.

Wasn't there a top down cabal on the NES? I know it was some top down game with an over head view and vehicles

I believe you're thinking of Jackal.

Yeah, that sounds more like Jackal (or potentially Heavy Barrel) than it does Cabal.

The Arcade Rambo 3 has different dialogue/ending depending if you play the American or European version.

The Punisher (NES)
Is nam 1967 really a Cabal clone? There was alot more dodging and jumping in that game then in Cabal if I remember right.
