It's a video of dogs and cats being tortured to death.
What does this have to do with "General Video Gaming?"

Indeed. This isn't some "tree hugging hippie activist" trying to get attention. It's hard evidence of animal cruelty. If you're going to watch this video... be aware of what you're looking at. You will see dogs and cats, very similar to our own beloved pets, being beaten, tortured and skinned alive. Isn't it strange how people are often made fun of when the speak about animal rights? Often times if sombody is a vegetarian, or protests against fur they are made fun of, ignored, and isolated. Now watch this video gentlement.... and tell me it's still OK to buy fur! Oh and it's been a long time since I've actually scrolled down on a youtube page... after remembering how STUPID PEOPLE ARE when they make comments. But I thought.... "Well I'm sure somebody has SOMETHING inteligent to say about this". I can assure you....THAT IS THE LAST TIME I MAKE THAT MISTAKE. I will never again underestimate the stupidity of people who post youtube comments. I couldn't even PRETEND to be as stupid as those people. It never fails.

Thanks to the anonymity of the internet, people get a kick out of saying outrageous awful things. It's the same principle at work as when you are discussing something on a board and one guy goes, "I'd like to see you say that to my face!!!!" knowing full well it will never happen. Most people I've met haven't had a problem with animal rights activists in general. How could anyone seriously think it's okay to torture animals? However, groups like PETA give a bad name to animal rights activists.

I may respect nature and all, but I don't obsess over it and attempt to make people feel guilty for trying to kill a bug either. I remember in high school when this hippie chick got mad at me for trying to kill a fly and asked how I would feel if I were smashed.

A good advice for keeping ultra-hippies out of your local fast-food restaurant is telling them to shut up, since you're trying to eat your puppie burger.

I have no problem with animals being eaten or used as fur, but all animals feel pain. Animals should be killed humanly, its one thing to just ring a chickens neck quickly and with little pain but to tear the skin and fur off a dogs head then let it bleed out is more then any living thing should bear.
The image that probaly got to me the most was the bag of cats vibrating in boiling water(that will probaly haunt me for a while).

...And that is why every slaughterhouse uses some kind of anesthetic, like shock or gas, before taking the lives of lifestock.

...And that is why every slaughterhouse uses some kind of anesthetic, like shock or gas, before taking the lives of lifestock. Uhm, that's far from the truth. Chickens are strung up on a conveyor belt and their throats are systematically slit open, one after one. This is all after being pumped full of antibiotics and hormones to grossly enlarge the size of theri appendages. A 300 pound 3 year old is the human equivalent. Chickens that are used for their eggs are debeaked at a young age without the use of anesthetic. They debeak them by burning the new, tender beak off. They are then shoved into small cages with no room to stretch their wings, where, out of boredom, they peck at eachother (the reason for debeaking). They are forced to live in their own shit and thousands of chickens die because of this. Or they die when their legs or head gets caught in the cage and they can't move to go eat their food. Oh, and if you're a male chick born at an egg farm, don't think you're lucky. You will just be thrown into a garbage bag and thrown out with the trash, still alive, as you gasp for air as you are surrounded by hundreds of other male chicks in the same bag. Or, you're thrown into the shredder, still alive. Supporting the egg industry supports this torture. Please think of the horrible life and shitty death the animal you got that egg product from had to endure. Cows used for their meat are pushed into rooms where bolts are shot through their skulls, through their brains, and often times it doesn't even kill the animal; they are left to suffer in horrendous pain until their body can't take anymore and they die. No anaesthetic is used. Calves used for their meat are chained up in a horribly cramped, dark box where there is no room for them to turn around at all. This is done to tenderize the meat on their bones, so they get no excersize so the meat is very soft. That's how you get your veal. If you're a dairy cow, all you can look forward to is being chained to a bar where you are forced to eat beef products and your own vomit as a machine is hooked up to your body for as long as 16 hours a day. And to keep you producing milk, you're artificially enseminated (more or less raped, right?) to trick your body into producing more milk. Need I say more? The things humans put other earthlings through just for the sake of convenience... -GoTaS

That's more money then convenience though..everything there could be done more humanly but would cost more. And no company wants to spend more.
