Virtually all of my creative output now is devoted to one place (which can be found in my signature). I really hope you visit and possibly even register! Any suggestions on how to improve the forums are appreciated, whether you post them here or there. Eventually I hope to get a purple theme or something for SEBEC.

I know this is pretty obvious, but I think what makes a forum is the active posters. What is great about this forum is that we always have something to talk about and the people here are generally very good to talk to and trustworthy in their opinion. Many successful forums are not simply forums but act as a supplement to a website. In other words, you need an attraction. As with Hardcore Gaming 101, the main site with the articles is the attraction that got me posting here on a regular basis. Now, I'm not saying you should compete with the same kind of formula as here. You do need your own attraction to get people coming to the forums, though. You may simply want to start out with your own gaming blog or maybe become associated with a friend's blog or comic. This will bring in more traffic and therefore more members. As you get members new topics will be formed every day and discussion will continue. On the plus side, you have a lot of really good ideas in the various sections they have. As you get more active posters these will be more fleshed out and have potential for greatness. I hope everything goes well for you and good luck!

That's the thing- the forum IS the blog in addition to being a forum. I think this will work out a little bit better than having a wordpress.
