Exactly, it's a work of fiction, just enjoy the show! Or don't. Although I admit, I did. But It's far from being a masterpiece in my highly subjected and personal opinion. I'll rate it *** out of ***** with the possible demise of one star because it's visuals might not hold up in the future

Hey, don't get me wrong, I haven't seen it. But it pisses me off when people point out boring details in works of fiction, like historical inaccuracies, and make a huge deal out of it.

Well, it depends on the movie. It works in 300 because it makes no claims to be correct and is only meant as action entertainment. Last Samurai however was an insult to everybody's intelligence.

Didn't see that one either, but from what I can piece together from commercials is that this american soldier got captured by some japanese guys, who taught him the honorable way of the samurai, then he kicked some butt.

That movie is such wasted potential. Aspects of it are VERY good but Tom Cruise is playing himself and completely flat until about twenty minutes before the movie ends. The tacked on happy ending is horrendous too, literally on par with Blade Runner's.

I really liked 300, and I think it did what it set out to do well.
I'm now curious about the actual Leonidas (Though I did read an article about him in the paper) and the graphic novel the film was based on.
