Just watching Fight Club again. It's a good idea really. I know Kurt's up for it.

Chuck Palahniuk is awesome. My brother and I went to see him do a reading in NYC a few years ago.
The Fight Club movie is better than the book IMO, but if anyone likes either, definitely check out Survivor. And Diary. And Invisible Monsters. And Lullaby. They're all great, and I don't even read very often. A very similar sardonic sense of humor permeates through all of the books. I mean, Invisible Monsters is about a supermodel who gets her jaw shot off. AWESOME.
Skip Choke though. Had a few good ideas but ultimately went nowhere.

Invisible Monsters is great. One of my girlfriend's thesis projects was to do a comic adaptation of Invisble Monsters set in Berlin during the thirties. It was pretty impressive.
Choke was pretty bad, to be honest I wasn't that crazy about Diary either. Survivor is great though.
I never bothered to read Fight Club due to people constantly telling me how the movie is better anyway.

Yeah, it's awful. It fails both as a movie tie-in, as a fighting game, and as an enjoyable game in general. It's terrible.

If it's so awful, why the heck was it made?

If it's so awful, why the heck was it made? That's like asking "Why was Superman 64 or E.T. for the 2600 made"? They banked of the popularity of the movie, and failed, as usually happens with book/movie tie-ins. The only exception to this rule is, I believe, "Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay". That was one damn fine piece of gaming.

If it's so awful, why the heck was it made? The same reason the Fight Club movie was made...$$$

It's not as bad anymore, the problem with Hollywood today is are there any movies that weren't movies ten years ago?
