Drat it all Brand, why do you have to prove my point that all of the communities I visit are somehow connected except for one (AWN), and even that one is probably somehow connected to another!

I did do a panel with Kurt at Otakon. ~_^ When you know people who like the same stuff you do, you are going to tend to run into them.

Say, how does one go about setting up a panel with Otakon? One of my friends (wil327) and I want to do a shmups panel this year.
The cat is Captainy Murphy. He hates and/or is apathetic towards pretty much everything, so much that he sat with that hat on for like 20 minutes without moving.

Otakon seems interesting enough but I'm way afraid of cosplayers. Cosplayers scare me. I'm also socially claustrophobic.

Aye...Otakon be full of Cosplayers...but they are geeks as well...so no need to feel intimidated. Plus most of the people there aren't social wizkids either...case in point I am a posterchild for socially inept at times.
Also a posterchild for violating other peoples karma...as Kurt can attest.

Shun takes care of the panels but there is some dude you email (the email should be on the Otakon website) and tell him what you want your panel to be about and then they think about it and tell you ok (or not, but I think they ok most panel ideas). That's pretty much it, they contact you for blurbs to go in the booklet and then you show up at the con and get your special panel id and just show up for your panel.

They MIGHT be giving more of them away if you preorder Neowave. I thought I saw that on Gamestop. Then again, they said the same thing for KoF Maximum Impact and I never got mine back then...
