Don't forget to add Higermaru's lone sequel, Higemaru Makaijima: Nanatsu no Shima Daibouken, released in 1987 first for the famicom, and then for the MSX. A very interesting fact about that game is that it was the first sequel to a Capcom game.

Interesting, Pirate Pete seems to be a hack of Jungle King/Jungle Hunt. I didn't know there was another version of it. |

All the screenshots I've ever seen of Arabian Fight appear to take place on ships. Does it count?
Also, isn't Arabian heavy on pirate ship-looking stages as well?

Ah yes, PIE ASS, a blatant rip-off of Blood Bros. The intro to that game is hilarious. Only the first stage is a pirate ship. The second stage was a cavern, and the last two were the palace itself. |
