I am looking for the names of as many pirate themed arcade games as possible. Whether they have been MAMEd or not is irrelevant.

Don't forget to add Higermaru's lone sequel, Higemaru Makaijima: Nanatsu no Shima Daibouken, released in 1987 first for the famicom, and then for the MSX. A very interesting fact about that game is that it was the first sequel to a Capcom game.

Interesting, Pirate Pete seems to be a hack of Jungle King/Jungle Hunt. I didn't know there was another version of it.

All the screenshots I've ever seen of Arabian Fight appear to take place on ships. Does it count?
Also, isn't Arabian heavy on pirate ship-looking stages as well?

Ah yes, PIE ASS, a blatant rip-off of Blood Bros. The intro to that game is hilarious. Only the first stage is a pirate ship. The second stage was a cavern, and the last two were the palace itself.

... holy fucking crap. That had to be one of the most retarded things to have ever been produced from my keyboard. Pirates! as an arcade title... holy shit, I even commented directly on Pirates, a.k.a. "pie ass," and THAT'S the one I confused with the RPG! ARGH!!! What's next for an arcade game? Metroid?!? ... *cough* www.youtube.com/watch?v=k08snJ_F-ZU
