As owner of the channel, I declare that people can talk about whatever the hell they want in there. It's a place for HG101 people to meet and talk in real time, not for pure gaming discussion only. If we all met offline, I would bet we would talk about things other than games, so deal with it. She's right, Mr. Joe. A lot of the message board rules of etiquette (no yakking about what kinds of drugs we're all on, for instance) don't really apply in IRC chat. If HG101 were Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, #hg101 would be one of those lawless areas. (Only analogy I could think of. Feh.) If you want to debate the benefits and drawbacks of drug use, either do it civilly ("u gay" doesn't do anyone any good) or keep it in the IRC channel. I hate seeing this stuff spill over into the forum. Edit: Or we can just simmer down and post silly pictures. That works too. |

Now, I hadn't complained before, when it happened, and I'm not about to start now, but this makes me wonder why I was re-banned...
If we can talk about anything, what did I talk about that was wrong, that didn't happen just now? As in, I didn't complain about people talking about drugs or anything. And if I did, I left it simply, rather than continuously.

I made sure not to say anything racist, homophobic and all of those things, not even as jokes (well, jokes'd be the only ways since I don't fall under any of those categories). |
