On the SamSho CD is it anything like Blind Guardian's Nightfall on Middle Earth?
Basically it has a bunch of drama going on about the Silmarillion (sp?), which I don't really understand, but it adds to the experience so damn well its worth it.

It's exactly like that except only a few tracks involve narration, most of it is the characters interacting with each other.

Seriously though. Blood on the Asphault from OCRemix will make you look at SF a whole different way.

I loved the Jazz arrange soundtrack of F-Zero; it's vastly different, but fun.

I don't know if they count as arranged soundtracks or not, but the Z-Replica discs feature pretty amazing rearrangements of the soundtracks to The Ninja Warriors, Night Striker and the Rastan series of games.
They have these goofy DJ bits in between songs which are pretty useless if you don't understand Japanese (which I don't) but the arrangements are top-notch stuff that in most cases (especially "Aggressive World" from Rastan & "Daddy Mulk" from Ninja Warriors) elevates the song in question to the way it should have sounded pretty much all along.

Pretty much anything done by Sword of Justice. The Elegy of Battle which has some awesome Valis tracks on there and Chaos and Order with some really heavy versions of Shin Megami Tensei songs. Highly recommended. www.soj.razor.jp/If you like Ys music then hunt down Ys Baroque. www.hellionsounds.com/

Last Blade 2's Arrange OST is godly. Especially the third track, the arranged version of "Swordsmen of the Moonlight - Resolution at Daybreak". One of the best pieces of VGM I've ever heard.

It's only now that I realize I never picked up the OST to LB2, despite having LB1. I'll have to get on that.

Hey, Mike I've already recommended it a number of times but have you (or anyone else) ever checked out SFII BoTA? Also Weasel, you'd be interested to hear that the Doom Remix album was just released over at OCRemix.org. Check it out, it is godly.

I'm actually listening to Blood on the Asphalt right now! Not because you mentioned it either. It was totally by accident.

Incidentally, I don't like either of those, because I actually don't like Doom's music that much in the first place. But thank you for the recommendation.

I just got this KoF Arranged OST that has a few songs from 94-2000, and I really like it.
