Dammit, the HES file of Bloody Wolf's sound files is busted. It sucks, because I think that game has a kickass soundtrack. If anyone knows where I can find a decent file of it, do inform me.

Score! I figured it was underneath an alternate title... thanks, Kurt! Agreed, Sideshow; Compile never fails to satisfy in the sound department... and every other department, while we're at it. Hmm... welp, now that I've got what I want, how about I turn this into the NEC sound thread? I'd like to kick off with this question; was the PC Engine CD the first system to support Redbook audio?

Yeah, I had the rom of Bloody Wolf's sound, but also of the Gradius, Salamander and 1943 Kai sound rips (those are the best versions of those games' music imo)

I believe the PC Engine was the first console system to have red book audio. Tengai Makyou Ziria is the first CD-ROM game for the system yet it doesnt really take advantage of red book audio.

Air Zonk/ PC Denjin is awesome, despite a few dud songs.

You know, it's odd.
I love the TG16 Bloody Wolf Soundtrack, but at the same time, I'd have loved to have heard the stage 1 song from the arcade version (Battle Rangers) in the game....
Still, the Stage 3 theme from Bloody Wolf is one of the best songs in all of game music.
Final Soldier is up there too, as far as TG16/PCE music goes.

Ga-BUMP! I just realized I don't have the music for The Legendary Axe, and I can't find it. It does have LA2 (entitled Ankoku Densetsu), but the original is unidentifiable.

The legendary Axe is called Makyou Densetsu in japan. You can find the .hes file on that link on my post at the top of the page.
Damn the first stage music is so damn good as is most of the soundtrack.
